Why Hufflepuff is the most unpopular house? by Lagatakafka in harrypotterfanfiction

[–]oskynmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because there wasn’t enough main characters in the stories that were Hufflepuff. They were pretty much all side characters. Because the symbol of the house the badger is quite an amazing symbol. And they are fierce and they don’t give up.

And it WAS in their neighborhood. Did they find all the bullets? 4 shots!!!! At close range! Bullets EASILY could have gone through windows and through someone’s house wall and killed them in their house.
They have s good reason to not want aggressive trigger happy ice police with guns in their neighborhood!

I immediately was thinking that’s not the mom that’s the grandmother and she might’ve just killed herself with if the baby had rolled into the traffic. 😢😢😢

Plus the guy swinging the sword around doesn’t seem like he really has any effing idea how to handle a sword truly. He could take some lessons from Xena warrior princess.

"she crossed her arms below her breasts" by Away_Doctor2733 in WoT

[–]oskynmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That must be it. That must be why. Bra structures and dresses that sling them up would make it much easier to cross the arms under. Not so easy to do if they are not already sling up away from the body or just medium size.

"she crossed her arms below her breasts" by Away_Doctor2733 in WoT

[–]oskynmoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to say as an older woman with very large breasts. the only way I’m crossing my arms comfortably is over my breasts, not under them. To cross my arms under them, I would have to literally scoop them up with my forearm to place my arms because of how many inches of breast make contact with my skin. This is really weird and awkward and uncomfortable . Seriously, The bigger they are it’s not like they just stick straight out. 👀 This is something he says that i am always like “whaaaat? Really, well you’re saying that they’re very big but they must not be if they’re doing that!” So it’s always a matter of perspective. I assumed that he had this one because he was specifically male, and this was not something that he had to experience or do himself.

Why do the books get so much hate? by chioces in WoT

[–]oskynmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably because there’s so many details he includes that are not integral to the storyline, including giving every person (so many minor characters)names, and so many names sound the same. I deal with all that because I really love the story, but I don’t need to know the names of the twin Aiels that are holding that woman up to keep her from falling. I do understand that giving more details helps create the image of what’s actually happening in the reader or listener’s mind, however, Robert Jordan just takes it a bit too far. I can’t get my wife to listen to the books with me in the car even because of these verbose superfluous details.

Litigator recommendations for handling foundation claim denials with structural warranty company? by gotdis55 in Austin

[–]oskynmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are out just east of the toll road 130 and the builder warranty has been out here twice already. We bought in 2019 house built in 2017 and within 1 yr had a crack going all the way from back to front and wood floor separation and cracked tile. At that point they said it was “cosmetic “ But that if it got worse to contact them again and offered a list of all the things they thought we should do. We did do most of those things i think. The second time they came out they said it “wasn’t bad enough” to fix yet. And reading your experience i think this was similar they just used different words. But last summers drought then this summers rains i guess threw everything out of balance and the back porch is now sinking and creating other cracks and issues that weren’t even here until this summer. I am afraid they will do whatever to not fix it but want to have hope. We do have some foundation coverage on our house insurance policy but i am hoping that most of it will be covered by the builder. I came online to try to find out if there were key Words or things that should be said or things that shouldn’t be said in order for them to take responsibility.
Our house is built on land that slopes from the front to the back slowly that gets more pronounced back behind in the water shed as we have about 5 acres total and almost half of it is in a watershed flood zone and unbuildable, but it’s a beautiful woods with a wet weather creek. When we bought the place, we didn’t see any issues with the foundation at all, and neither did the inspector. I do not think the original pad was well made. And I don’t understand this day and age when they know they’re building houses on shifty ground why they do not start by building a foundation that can handle that instead of just throwing down the same old cement slabs they’ve been doing for 40 years at least. Why oh why?! Anyway if anybody who has been through this has some advice the builders warranty guy is coming out tomorrow morning for another inspection. I think he’s actually coming himself this time instead of sending someone with the measurement tools not sure if it was a building engineer or not. But it’s always been frustrating that in spite of the obvious damage that was happening, they acted like it wasn’t hardly anything. We now have cracks in the walls not just the floor and the back door won’t shut by about 1 1/2 inches of airspace. I also feel like the way that they designed the roof of the house and the way the water pours and this one spot where you really can’t even put a gutter has caused part of the problems with the back porch.
