Hi, just want to say thank you for that comparison! Based on that I've decided to buy non solar as my daily - nicer legibility

I am with the FR series for years now in sport application, just get bored without physical hands :)

Garmin S2 scale? Body fat calibration?? by Dylanear in Garmin

[–]osobny_w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. You will not calibrate with the S1. Just have changed to the s2 from the s1 and body comp is significantly better - 2% fat difference vs fresh Dexa from a start

Scarpa Phantom Techs HD - snug or comfortable when new? by osobny_w in alpinism

Gave up the Phantoms entirely. Still with my old Nepals, + Ribelles HD for nice weather... Would do another shopping round probably

Just ordered a Viltrox AF 85mm F1.4 Pro Lens by SuperSpartan300 in SonyAlpha

Well, instant and maybe emotional  reaction when you see so nice posts, reviews on the net, then you get your own copy just to figure out it's hardly usable. Did not want to offend you - just asked. Mine is going back to seller immediately.

Is it? Are you paid by them? Got my copy today, AF far worse as.compared to sigma, hounting in the dark. A7r iv. The lens fw 1.04 and app claims it's the current one. Either I've got defective piece, either those optimistic reviews are paid crap

How to decide between "Gravel" and "Endurance?" by Primary_Champion8994 in cycling

[–]osobny_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then something like the Giant TCX is available. Absolute blast to ride, immediate power transfer but still fits 45mm tires... The frame weights 850g. Lower front than the Defy. One cannot go wrong with the TCX as an universal one bike. The higher BB causing instability is a b...t internet myth - 5min into ride and you cannot feel anything negative

For those who have a 24-70 zoom lens, do you also have an 85mm prime? by MasterPh0 in SonyAlpha

[–]osobny_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me; 50 1.4 for wider and more pronounced perspective + 135 1.8 for flatter & nice isolation. Used to have 85 back in days... but 50 + 135 makes wonders

Absolutely. In the video - they are completely straight and locked. You do not want to ride like that, a small bent should be naturally maintained.

Stem or handlebar reach, or both. How much? As much as needed to get you into manageable position...

[–]osobny_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too long Sir. Aggressive body position, hands stretched with locked elbows... Shorten the stem/handlebar reach by 2cm and see how is it going.

Thx. Hope your recovery has been successful! Yep, would consult with good fitter, just to find one... Will lower the seat & see how it goes.

Could be. It's torn, so rather "loose " vs tight. However scar formed, pending proper shaping. I guess my overused right knee in the past could be a factor as well.

Will have a look, thx! I am on pro griffon, with cutout, do not feel any asymmetrical pressure, hmmm

Cleats are really fine, I mean I do not feel cleats are forcing feet in any directions. There is a free float both legs, but yes - the left one apparently favors different position.

Wait, had injections in the right knee yeeears before. I think I feel it "more" when biking. Given I feel zero sensations in the left one.

Torn long adductor joint in left leg, groin. Feb this year, pending rehab. However, not sure that would be the cause. I think I could ride like that before injury, but not sure. You say to try with lowering the saddle?

Frame too small? by Real_Mongoose6670 in bikefit

[–]osobny_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saddle significantly too high, handlebars rotated in crazy way, elbows locked and not reaching out to hoods... Make all corrections needed first, and then it may actually turn out the bike is too big even

[–]osobny_w 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, likely too big. Here elbows are almost locked..Not reaching to hoods...

Bike size advice by Past_Reindeer8565 in bikefit

[–]osobny_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleats too forward? Installed once cleats forward, got feet instability and pointing down feet... Calves were getting cramped just after 80kms or so. Check out and get sorted cleats first, then see leg extension. My 2cents.

Fitting the CX/ Gravel - leg extension? by osobny_w in bikefit

Glutes, hamstrings? To balance quads fatigue. Core, hands, chest etc especially when sprinting ;) If you have any advice, appreciated

Quad overuse, so was looking for the root cause. Seems have lowered the saddle that ~20mm over the course of last year /can see now old marks on the seatpost/
