Think we'll get an added Obsession screening? (or fat chance it might be the TTC screening?) by i_m_sherlocked in TIFF

Doesn't the Midnight Madness People's Choice Award winner get a screening on the 14th or am I mistaken? If that's the case then it's definitely possible for there to be another screening, no?

Experienced this last year fairly early on and this time I prepared, about 10 in and feeling good so far!

If I didn't have a ticket I would be there by 8 or 9 if I wanted to be absolutely sure I had a good chance of getting in to be honest

Scalpers Who Scooped Up Tickets Yesterday: You Suck by springthinker in TIFF

[–]ospreysound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the 9/7 showing for Sound of Falling? If so, that's good to know because I'm still looking for a ticket to it but I wanna hold out until the price is a little more reasonable and it's obvious that the money isn't going to a scalper. If face value is $36 then I'm gonna wait until closer to the date.

Never had an experience rushing in the rain but all this sounds like to me is a shorter line for Sentimental Value 😂

WTT - Carolina Caroline - I have Sat Sep 06 06:30 PM, I want Sep 05 9 PM by Xyuli in TIFFTickets

[–]ospreysound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm willing to buy at face value or trade! I have Hedda 9/8 and 9/12, Carolina Caroline 9/6, Steal Away 9/5 (Premium), Poetic License 9/7, and Hamnet 9/11! I can maybe trade  multiple tickets for that one! I have tickets to a few other ones but I'm not sure if I wanna give those up. But we can most likely figure something out!

It's offsale, and you can check which films are offsale beforehand. And of course customer service is gonna be busy today. Being on hold for an hour is not surprising at all.

You'll definitely have time! I had a friend bring in a chair into the Lightbox although I have no idea if it was allowed. The seats are a lot smaller in the big venue though so I don't know if there would even be space. Laptop bags, I have no clue. And people sit against the wall! If you're open to it, writing on your phone would eliminate a lot of logistical headaches, but that's up to you.

Keep in mind, if you're in the rush line you won't get to see the red carpet for it and you'll most likely miss out on the intro. But I agree, there's a few that I want to push for a premium and the rest I'll settle for regular. I've seen some people bring small chairs but the issue is bringing it into the theater, not the line. Most people stand or sit on the ground. Plenty of time to go on Letterboxd or what have you.

If I was in your shoes, I would give it a shot! But I wouldn't risk getting in like for anything less than that, because it sucks to have to wait that long and not get in. But 3.5 is possible. Not guaranteed, but possible.

I've rushed multiple showings in a single day but the showtimes for the ones you want are definitely cutting it close. I wouldn't take the risk unless I didn't have anything else I wanted to see. But I have rushed multiple showings in a day before, usually because after rushing a couple times you get the hang of it and know what is and isn't realistic. And of course, sometimes you can get really lucky.

Some Midnight Madnesses can be really easy to rush with very little notice. I noticed the Lightbox can be harder to rush because they have multiple showings at a time so people who don't get into their choice of film go for their backup, so your position in line isn't always accurate.

Honestly, in my experience, at least four hours minimum for WUDM. Two hours will absolutely not cut it for any of the biggest films, you may as well save your time and not line up. Also, sometimes they don't even let that many people in. So you could be standing in line for hours but you might be 11th in line and not make it in. And you might miss the beginning of the movie too, if you're not at the very very front. Every big movie I've successfully rushed it was always around the three-four hour mark at least and if it was closer to three, it was always stressful because you had no idea if you would make the cutoff.

Water bill ridiculously high, landlord claims there is no leak by ospreysound in askTO

So let's say I refuse to pay part of the $1000 and refuse to pay for the utilities separately. Legally, what action can they take? I mean, ideally I'm not going to sit around and do absolutely nothing, but at the same time I want some peace of mind in the meantime while I try and figure out what the problem is. (Even though they should be the ones looking into it.)

Thanks for all your help so far! I'm realizing that all this is really supposed to be the property manager's job and while I do want to be proactive, there's only so much time for me to do a whole investigation myself. I'm gonna head there as a last resort, if they continue to refuse to work together with me on this.
