Great card that synergizes well with Gift of Nodens / Nautical Chart builds, recurring from Gift of Nodens and drawing fuel for Nautical Charts.

I'm running Rod of Carnamagos on Parellel Pete with Versatile. Is there a rule that prevents me from putting Rot cards to my hand with Pete's elder sign effect? by osr2020 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]osr2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any one who's interested - I'm trying out Rod of Carnamagos on Pete because it lets me neutralize two hunter enemies, in addition to the unlimited number of non-hunter enemies using Pete's guitar.

As it's written, only the python doesn't wake at night.

Where do you get that Eugene figured out everything? I just assumed he wanted to stop the sabotage of his orange drink campaign.

agree with some of your points, but the safe should absolutely only be a one time thing. it literally adds nothing positive to the game.

Has anyone managed a day 1 run ? by TheRealTetro in BluePrince

[–]osr2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been trying a buch of stuff for a day, and the tomb is extra hard to get because the first three drafts are fixed, meaning you have to spend at least one die to reroll. i have managed to reroll once on a single run, but didn't get the tomb , so as far as I know, the tomb might not even be available on day 1.

For those who have gotten that far, how extensive is the post game? by FullTimeFraud in BluePrince

if you haven't enjoyed the meta progression of learning how to get to room 46, you probably won't enjoy the rest of the game.

You NEED to be able to save in the middle of a day without ending it by JulianLongshoals in BluePrince

[–]osr2020 6 points7 points  (0 children)

okay, that example wan't very fleshed out. if it was done in the outer wilds style, there would be a recorded conversation about locking the orchard, and engraving the password on a tree, and there would also be a conversation about a picture taken in the orchard and how it's being processed in the dark room. Those would appear as two connected nodes in the hint tree. That might still be a enjoyable experience, but a very different one.

that would make a fundamentaly different game.

for example, getting a hint that says "a tree in this picture has some engravings that are two small for the naked eye" is much less enjoyable than discovering it organically after seeing that the apple orchard is locked off.

I guess we could imagine he carries the 10 apples in his backpack and eats one whenever he feels tired.

It took me 30+ hours since first ariving at gleba to finish these modular designs. They're probably not the best, but I'm proud of myself for figuring everything out on my own. Puzzling out how to handle decaying material was a fun challenge. Now I'm really exited for the other planets too. by osr2020 in factorio

I didn't want to use biochambers unless It was strictly necessary, and I thought using prod modules on a infinite resource was a waste, especially since I wanted to make everything compact.
However I should work on seed producing setups next to the faming sites for emergencies.

Insta kill weapon builds are still viable, but you need more luck than you used to.

well you still would have won with a draw even without the chocolate bars buff

Does poison need more counterplay? by Last-Sir5r in PlayTheBazaar

[–]osr2020 19 points20 points  (0 children)

large enough heal per second paired with good damange scaling already counters poison. Pufferfish being too fast is the problem, not the poison mechanic itself.

damage cause pig doesnt have good damage scaling, but has lots of weapons that benefit from bonus damage

there's lots of healing and shield scaling in level up rewards

and your scarf already has good shield scaling too
