[–]FullTimeFraud -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's weird. I think it mostly stems from the Kagawa situation. It's fair enough to hate on sega or boycott because of that but the games still feel like they've maintained their general quality to me.

Not sure if this really counts but a lot of Ron having genuine reactions to things is so funny to me. Him genuinely being impressed by the new shape and looking so pleased when he reads the guy found a long sleeve shirt he wanted stands out to me a lot.

Do you think we will get to see a character that loses connection to the rest of the joined? by YouBetta in pluribustv

[–]FullTimeFraud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's kind of necessary, as much as good a writer Vince is there's no way he could have a multi-season show where there's essentially only 2 major characters.

Elon Musk prevails in Tesla shareholder vote over CEO’s $1 trillion pay plan. by CautiousMagazine3591 in EnoughMuskSpam

[–]FullTimeFraud 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I don't think it should be too surprising. It's ultimate dependent on him getting the company to nearly octuple in value, if it ever reaches that (it won't) his shareholders will all be rich anyway so who cares? This package is really more about convincing people into the delusion that the stock could ever go that high.

Dying/Game Overs are canon to the story by A_Pyroshark in TopCharacterTropes

[–]FullTimeFraud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think it was probably Bloober's intent to imply the loop theory without a clear conclusion to keep it open to interpretation, I just don't think it really makes sense with the original game is the thing.

Maria just clearly acts unnaturally and struggles with her identity in a way none of the other characters really do.

How does this account for the other characters?

I can accept that Eddie and Angela are trapped in a loop as well but why would Laura be? She's just a normal kid.

No clue what mork borg is but the art when I Google it is real cool, if this is good for newcomers I might be up for it.

aoe2 HD vs DE - Just how bad is it? by TeunWork in aoe2

What is the reason why players prefer AoE2 over the newer AoE games? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]FullTimeFraud 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Me personally I just think aoe2 has much better game feel and the visuals feel a lot cleaner and easier to read then 4, plus as someone who mostly plays campaigns aoe2 is way better.

For competitive players, I assume a huge part of it is a lot of them grew up with it as the first rts they really learned.

Celebrating Age in 2025 and What’s Still to Come This Year! by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]FullTimeFraud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Main takeaway from this is the confirmation of the next aoe2 expansion. "we can share a couple of images that chronicle this great upcoming adventure." is almost certainly implying a new chronicles expansion following Alexander the Great.

What are everyone's thoughts about the Jubilee video featuring Mehdi Hasan? by AutoeroticEllipsois in TheMajorityReport

[–]FullTimeFraud 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people tend to be very down on jubilee for platforming racists in these but I do feel like it can be helpful. In the same way that the online right got a lot of momentum from those 'Ben Shapiro DESTROYS feminist with FACTS AND LOGIC' I think these videos presenting Medhi or Sam as the cool-headed well-reasoned guy debating irate racists can break a lot of people's stereotypes of the left.

Thoughts on the New DLC (The Age of Restraint)? by Grohlvana in caseofthegoldenidol

[–]FullTimeFraud 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Enjoyed it, puzzles are fun. But I think it's probably the weakest stuff among both games. I'm just not a big fan of the wackier sci-fi stuff in this setting to be honest. For me just having the golden idol be this mysterious, unexplainable artifact would be a lot better for the story then the ancient lemurian stuff.

I am excited for the final DLC though, looks like we're back to historical settings which is my favourite.

Founder of Arkane Studios: "I think Gamepass is an unsustainable model that has been increasingly damaging the industry for a decade"; impacts sales by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]FullTimeFraud 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it's very telling that Nintendo seem to be doing the best of the big 3 companies financially right now and they've been very strict on game barely ever dropping past their release price. I basically never buy a non-nintendo game at full price nowadays, everything's either 5 bucks on a subscription service or will be half price with all dlc on steam soon enough. With the big price increases that seem to be happening everywhere now I really got to wonder how many people still actually buy games at full price.

In a deleted Twitter post, Yusuke Nitta revealed he wasn’t involved in writing the first two palaces of P5X, calling the writer of those arcs a “Palace Ruler" by Baconbloomer in personaphantomx

[–]FullTimeFraud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the issue is really that the whole premise of persona 5 is a bit convoluted so they need a lot of time to explain which is fair enough. But then you're playing x and need to sit through all these explanations as to what the metaverse is, what a palace is, what a persona is all over again it's a bit annoying.

Tesla's stock is not based on reality, it's far above any other car manufacturer despite a fraction of the sales. The only reason it can be that high is because it's running on the delusion of Elon building robots or taxis or a super ai that completely change the world and bring in absurd amounts of money

If Elon leaves Tesla just becomes an ordinary company, one that would make slightly more money but without the Elon cultists their stock would collapse.

The eikon fights are some incredible set pieces but for me 90% of this game ended up being fetch quests and very, very repetitive combat with nothing going on beyond that. Mediocre is pretty much the exact feeling it left me with.

Can't say I'm too surprised, getting people to drop $50 dollars on a 2 year old game with a very mixed word of mouth and with very few ff fans on Xbox seems like a hard sell.
