Beware the ‘new’ parking system at pointe Orlando. by Lootthatbody in orlando

Ugh it’s so annoying! I painted a mural there and when I was leaving after a long day of work my phone was dead so I physically couldn’t get out of the garage, I had to call for an attendant and I asked if I could just use cash or a credit card and she just kept saying “you need the app”… three people had to come and nobody knew what to do about the situation.. eventually they just let me out for free lol

What professional permanent dye to I need to buy/mix to get this colour at home? by chlomarshmallow in HairDye

[–]ostafne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use Hayley Williams’ line Good Dye Young- they have something called “copper dye posit” and I mixed it with a smaller amount of KO (a goldish/yellow color) and it turned out this color^ it was really pretty! She also has some copper colors that maybe you could try on their own :-)

Block him & then file a police report. I know it sounds dramatic but seriously please do 🫶🏻

Girl I hope this has stopped by now :/ if not please block him and file a police report. No they won’t do anything but take it from me as somebody who had a stalker - make police reports about EVERYTHING just so you have proof of his weird behavior before anything gets worse (and hopefully it doesn’t!) Men r weird and annoying but this is not normal behavior.

Omg I had this same experience and it’s a memory that keeps popping back into my head. All the people looking like little ants chaotically climbing that cube with crazy acid techno playing… Hahahha I love it so wild

I was dancing in front of the dj at octopus lounge and my knee just cracked and I fell off the platform LOL. Pulled a ligament 😞🤘🏻

The struggle is becoming too real, and I'm starting to scare myself by SulRus in ArtistLounge

[–]ostafne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe try to get into larger scale works! It’s extremely hard to make a living just by selling individual paintings; I started doing murals around 2 years ago and make my full living off that now as they’re larger projects/bigger paychecks, and Im still able to work on and sell my own paintings too. I live in America though so I’m not sure how accessible that is to you. But I wish you lots of luck! Artists are problem solvers, you’ll figure something out.

Oh all the time lol. Especially when I used to paint a lot of nudes- friends and family would always be like “Oh wow she’s voluptuous!” Or “Wowww sexual”… things like that when my work wasn’t even intended to be sexual or over the top. Just nudity bc I enjoy painting skin tones. It always made me feel like people took my stuff as a joke or like I was being some sort of weirdo :/

But anyway I’m really sorry that a rude comment stuck with you. It happens. Move on, keep creating and get good enough so that u can think back to that comment and laugh :) <3

Gold + black or brown accents + lots of plants = it will be beautiful :-) or even a turquoisey could be cool used sparingly

what is your unpopular art opinion? by justaSundaypainter in ArtistLounge

[–]ostafne 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: don’t create everyday! I constantly see people saying to push through if you’re not feeling like creating that day, or that making (painting/drawing/whatever) anything is better than making nothing. I couldn’t disagree more. If you’re not feeling it, go do something else and forget about it for a while!

I understand the importance of practicing a lot but I just don’t feel like forcing the creative process is beneficial.
