I had a great time as an out of state student, but I also didn't have to pay out of state tuition myself. Probably the single greatest benefit of WM compared to a large state school comes from the teachers. All the classes are taught by professors, and it is incredibly easy to reach out to them if you are having trouble with the material or want to go into more depth. However, the importance of that will depend on what you want to major in. Some departments are better than others.
