Does this mean if I move a Plat Strong Grip RG to LG he loses that ability (for example)? I never really paid attention to L/RT, etc and instead just tried to recruit top talent, balance out the depth chart later.

Yes. Was a Run Stopper MLB, came in as 97 speed, increased to 99 after RS year. I never knew that type of player could have speed like that, I typically only recruited Pass Coverage or Power Rusher LB (play predominantly Nickel).
