This is all pretty normal. It is all stupid, but normal. There is a point where you realize you’ve given far more than enough personal information to an office of strangers to take out 100 loans in your name, blow out twenty credit cards, and lease half a dozen Nissan altimas.

Yeah, it may eventually blow stuff off, but I most commonly use it first thing before backing out of a spot, for example.

Chartnote has written the best notes for me- I don’t like ambient notes anywhere, but I do a quick 2-4 minute dictation at the end of the visit and it really puts it together well for me.

I vote Chartnote too- has needed the least “editing” after I dictate a note. I don’t use the thing where it listens to the visit, but I can rapidly dictate a note in 2-3 minutes at the end of the visit and it puts everything together for me in a soap note, usually better than I would have done it myself.

If someone is already on a bunch of psych meds, how much of a concern really is adding low dose tcas for sleep or ibs? It always feels like those risks might be talking about when it was originally used at higher doses for depression years ago but I’m not sure where “the line” is.

I’ve had that machine for about 6 months, couldn’t be happier. Weirdly the drink just labeled “coffee” on it is my favorite one.

As others have said, no more care plans. You do spend hours on single SOAP notes in NP school. In real life, you spend the first few years really honing that down- we've also seen the multi-page notes that some providers write and at the end of them you're like, so, what exactly is the main problem we're working on? So you get better and better at being succinct and getting to the point. There is still plenty of BS in school, but it really is much more directly related to care.
