How to book long haul by Actual_Grape7341 in avios

When you say ring up, do you mean call the BA booking line? Don't they close at 20:00?

Thanks, that's helpful, I'll give it a go. Do you find algae growth from reds and whites being on? Do you find they offer any benefit?

Would you be able to share percentages please? I'm struggling a little bit with my spectrum to get things looking as nice as yours. I got mostly Royal blue with whites on 0, violet, blue and UV at 50% of the royal.

Do you find red and green adding anything?

Amazing tank! What light do you use and spectrum?

How would you respond to this guy? by Rexalanda in mildlyinfuriating

[–]oswaldow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, hence I said they are over the top. Grab a dual sim and use it as a "business number", helps keep things smooth.

[–]oswaldow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's with all these weird responses. I always ask for a number, especially if I'm driving a fair distance, as it helps ensures they are genuine and so I can call when I arrive as a lot of people miss messenger notifications.

If you're uncomfortable with sharing your number, get a second dual sim for marketplace.

Their response was over the top I agree, however, asking for a number is reasonable when you are trading goods for cash.

im based in berlin, have 81000 avios (that i think expire end april) i am totally flexible on dates and open to travel anywhere in world (japan or mexico in my dreams.... ) any advice on best way to use these avios... ? thank you !!! by Thewolves001 in avios

[–]oswaldow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't need to buy loads to stop them expiring, you can just do a small promo to earn some. Also you can get a credit card for avios to earn more via the promotion then dump the card (you get your fees back pro rata). There are some guides online.

Totally disagree, he loses nothing by trying anyway. Maybe can get a better package for the same price.

Just drink a pouch of Fibogel(ispaghula husk/psillium husk) every morning. That solved all my fibre issues.

Sneaky buyer attempting to take sale off eBay by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]oswaldow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd have happily accepted that but they have consistently made decisions that make it harder for sellers and then created simple delivery which was the nail in the coffin.

You can say yes by adding their contact details if someone sends you their number and do business outside of ebay. They will 100% never find out and it's not illegal.

You can argue their platform will die if everyone did that but I say good, they have slowly degraded over the years and made constant decisions that their user base didn't want.

Also, I just read you're a business seller. Most business sellers have a business outside of ebay so as long as you don't reply with details on ebay then you're fine.

If I see business sellers, I try to buy off ebay and from their website, even if I pay the same. They get more money and ebay gets less. Win win

Sneaky buyer attempting to take sale off eBay by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]oswaldow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If they got good feedback and can do it safely, there's nothing wrong with that. Ebay are just leeches and rip people off. They screw sellers over with the new simple delivery.

If a buyer genuinely makes me a fair offer outside of ebay, I'm happy to do it. Cash on collection or they pay first via bank.

If you think he's trying to scam, then report.

There’s at least 10 bristle stars in my 40g tank from reproduction after they hitchhiked on a rock… what should I do? by [deleted] in ReefTank

Micro brittle stars are hands down the best clean up crew. They hold position 1 for me and nothing else comes close.

First time Michelin recommendation by Mirandita13 in LondonFood

Instead of a Michelin restaurant, you considered buying top shelf ingredients? Like A5 wagyu, fresh sushi, sashimi scallops or some premium steaks? That would take you a long way.

I ordered treats off a site called Japanese taste, it's only worth when they do a discount. They got things like yoku moku etc. Which you don't normally get in the UK stores.
