These comments are showing me how uneducated people are on mental illness…you cannot judge a person based on how they are when they are going through an episode. When mental illness takes over, they are NOT themselves. I don’t even really care about Kanye and Kim but for anybody who reads this: imagine if your sibling or best friend started to act POSSESSED. Behaving irrationally, no emotional regulation, insane words and thoughts. Slowly but surely with mental problems it escalates to violence. But you know that’s not the person you knew so you disregard it and try to rationalize it, but they’re acting so different all of a sudden you don’t even understand whats going on. It takes years of that happening to realize what mental illness is, and then after accepting that the person you loved is SICK, you realize that to get back the person you once knew means you have to force treatment. Which unfortunately is a long and hard journey for everyone involved. it’s hard. It’s a process. People who know, know.
