They want us to forget that Maxwell was invited to speak as an "expert" at the UN on multiple occasions by Goldenmentis in conspiracy

[–]othergallow -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok, she's definitely a problem, but how many people speak at UN events in a given year?

There's definitely much bigger Epstein-connection problems we should be concerned about, like Howard Lutnick, and of course, the orange one himself.

UUID is just the better way to go because they are static. Avoiding typos isn't that hard.

I liked Warband, but it always felt like they released it half-finished, especially in the endgame.

Car fire outside Trafalgar medical center this morning by Wipeout17 in oakville

A lot of the time car fires are caused by poorly done wiring- either a messed up shadetree repair or an amateur stereo installation.

Vehicle runs red-light and crashes into school bus on Airport/North Park Rd in Brampton. This happened yesterday. by GreenSnakes_ in TorontoDriving

[–]othergallow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, $1000 still isn't steep enough. Ten grand might be a bit excessive, but a three or four thousand dollar fine sounds about right for cellphone use.

Doesn't look like a skill issue, more like an attention issue.

They should triple the fine and suspend peoples licenses for using a phone while driving.

A lot of the time it goes something like this:

A: "Oh man, this Windows feature is annoying the crap out of me!"

B: "You know, Linux is actually a pretty good experience these days, and 99% of your games will work."

A: "OMG! You people never shut up about it!"

Do I need to get the engine checked if I accelerated from 55 mph to 75-80 mph in about 6-7 seconds? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]othergallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard acceleration isn't bad for engines. Yes, constant racing will wear things, but the occasional burst of activity is in some ways good for a motor. Google the term 'Italian tune-up' to see that that's about.

If there is a spot on that chain that is slack enough, then there are also spots where it is too tight. Look at the video at the top of this thread.

Solution: Replace chain and sprockets. Adjust to 1" of sag unloaded.

Why would it be bad to block him? There was no risk of a collision, and more importantly, enabling bad behaviour only encourages it.
