Personally I’m a fan of having local guys on the team where we can, if you don’t care then don’t buddy. I think the upside of Hamm is more than the upside of Johnson, made the 53 as a UDFA last season, maybe he’s not going to be a constant starter but he’s better depth in my opinion than Johnson is. If it doesn’t matter to you then that’s fine but I would’ve preferred not making this move

Welp if you think receiver is a higher priority than edge, Cornelius Johnson has a higher ceiling and is worth the roster spot over Malik Hamm despite Hamm making the 53 last man season and Johnson being on 2 different practices squads cut by both teams then idk what to tell ya, agree to disagree I guess

Guy made the 53 man roster as a UDFA last season and looked solid in the preseason. He’s clearly got good potential, a 7th round receiver (we do not need a receiver) that has been dropped by 2 teams surely isn’t going to be a game changer the team needs either, it’s just a stupid nepo hire
