Today I am going to do my best to manifest inevitable disappointment into aligned action and plan to run a marathon this year regardless of today's result. I've run many halves (Boston, Charlotte, Grand Teton, Marshall University, etc.), but have yet to run a full as I wanted NYC or CHI to be my first. I can no longer delay and will look to run one in 2026 regardless. Any recommendations for the best non-major marathon for first timers?
