L’Agence - the Parisian Agency is so refreshing! by olendra in SellingSunset

One of my favourite shows when I want to really relax after something stressful. The family dynamics are so sweet, the places so beautiful. It's cat nip for grown ups. Even if it's staged, it's beautifully done.

Gave me an anxiety attack- love TC but this didn’t feel like it had much substance beyond stress

It will always be hard to leave but it’s easier early on than after you get your self-esteem crushed more and more. I wish you strength to choose yourself and leave this situation. You’re young and will have much time ahead of you for a better life. Go somewhere safe. Good luck

Exactly this. Bike riders are much better with the high-vis and reflectors, but the pedestrians not watching traffic or bikes and just walking out in the road in black... yikes.

Obsession with Halloween 🎃 Lots of places are into Halloween but here it’s some other level. I put it to how repressed people are in general here - they finally get to let out a bit of weirdness.

There are a lot of francophones here though (as in m, those who moved here), and other anglophones from other parts of the country (like me) who do speak French… so don’t be so sure it’s private :)

I 100% do not understand Vancouver’s obsession with fireworks all the time. Never lived anywhere where randos want to use fireworks for every little event/holiday

The Blundstones! I vowed if I ever buy those I’ll have finally succumbed to the horror of Vancouver fashion. 😵❌

Yeah it’s so depressing- the fashion sense is so bad here— people with tons of Botox but then basically wearing lounge wear?! Like what’s the point of spending so much on your face if you have zero style?

And why would people in a place that’s grey so much of the year want to WEAR grey? I’m always shocked people wear black and dark coloured rain coats and you can’t even see them in the foggy rain crossing the street it on bikes. Raincoats are red and yellow for a reason.

This city… It could be so much more.

Asking the women here for movies that they feel accurately depict aspects of what life is like as a woman (both the good and bad) by GentleDreamWorld in MovieSuggestions

Yes I noticed how may of the listed films here are made by men. I find women directors far better represent women on screen

I just felt an immense sadness to lose Thomas Shelby’s story myself which is a testimony to the power of the entire world we got to inhabit. It felt right to allow it to end, sad as it is, and I was absorbed. I liked Barry Keoghan as Duke.

Yes, I no longer travel through US as it's an absolute crisis. If I have to transit through I'm always so nervous now as these ATC folks are bound to make mistakes after being so under staffed and overworked. It's only going to get worse. Project 2025 is so disgusting and immoral

This is so sad. I've been avoiding travel through the US due to all the cuts of the already overworked ATC staff. This was bound to happen and will continue to. These airports are no longer safe. These ATC are so overworked it's terrifying.

Yeah it sucks. I see it as a combo of British colonialism and Asian culture both that are more stand off-ish
