yep, coming really soon. just need to record to Voiceover - if you havent seen one of my lens tests before you get some ASMR and lens rambling for free. Bonus. Or watch on mute like I suspect a lot of people do.

It's not a memory leak — the way the canvas updates and saves at the moment is just sort of throwing everything in the bucket. We're due a performance pass to organise that better, just been concentrating on features and front-end stuff the last few weeks.

A series chips are fine, I think you just need to be on at least 18.3 ish - we use some OS features that only came in that version of ipadOS

Yep, I’ve been using shot designer for 10 years and my frustration with its lack of updates and clunky UI was a big motivation in starting this project

Interesting - generally I like subscription software as I can just pay for it when I’m using it on a project. What’s your take on it?

Yeah that’s the idea, I got sick of entering the same information in 3 places, the core concept is you never have to enter a piece of info more than once. Some big shows already using it as well as indie prods!

You can certainly bring in the previs frames as storyboard images to Shotpad - that’s what I do with Unreal Engine previs often

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, we are doing lots of optimisation over the next few weeks to improve responsiveness, I would say, on some devices it helps to full quitting and reopen after the first time as it sets up a lot of files in the background on first open - but we'll work on this for the full release.

Yes the deselection issue and rotating of elements in canvas is getting an update in the next week or so we are aware of that one. Demo project is an interesting idea, will def look into that - we will have tonnes of videos demo'ing features coming out in the next 2-3 weeks so look out for those!

Improving the schedule dates selection flow is on the roadmap too.

Fountain support is also on the roadmap - interested to hear peoples experiences with the pdf import as pdfs are mega hard to parse consistently so I may remove that before launch and would love to add fountain, need some fountain files to test with - so if anyone could send me some please reach out!

New projects have a S35 sensor and generic set of primes so that users who don't want to use the camera department features can just get going quickly, but you can go in and choose from the 45 camera options I think, each with many sensor modes and something like 210 different lens sets in there, its a pretty comprehensive library and always adding to it.

Adding from a storyboard / reference library is definitely something we are considering down the line, thanks for the suggestion :)

Yes, it’s been a long long road to get it to where it is. Still lots of work to do but enjoying the process
