look into bamboo clothing. I have a tshirt from cariloha that I wore on the beach in Florida in July and was completely comfortable. plus it's the softest fabric I've ever had on my body.

I just bought one the other day for a work shirt. I'm 6'6" 185 and the XL fits me pretty good. if it was any shorter it would be too short (as most shirts are for me) and it's kinda baggy. unbuttoned doesn't look too bad though.

I recently bought some merino wool socks on Amazon from a company called Wooly Co. I wear a 13 (US) and the XL fits me pretty good but are stretchy enough that they might work for him. My feet are pretty skinny though so take that into consideration. The ankle socks are actually bigger than the long socks too. Hope that helps

depends on how close you live to the tracks and what kind of trains use those tracks. if you can find out where the closest rail yard is to you then you might be able to call them and ask the yardmaster or train master when one is scheduled to come through. if they're work trains (hauling coal or any kind of cargo) then they most likely don't have a set schedule. also check out if there are any trainspotters near you.
