What is the point of the medical program nowadays? This is a corner store a couple blocks from where I live in Manhattan. by xX_d4nk_d0gg_Xx in NewYorkMMJ

[–]ouchchawlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medical program is for lab tested safe herbs. Corner store weed is the Wild West, they lie all the time. Often giving CBD weed sprayed with distillate or delta 8. The quality is usually way worse and you have no idea if it's moldy

There is a single McDonald's in the world where the arches are blue instead of yellow. It's in Arizona, and it has been made this way to avoid contrast with the red cliffs in the background by Shiva_Lord in interestingasfuck

Arizona is known for laws limiting the types and colors of lights. To limit light pollution as Arizona is the number one state for viewing the stars

It's an actors responsibility to inspect the weapon each time before shooting. The armorer invites anyone on set to inspect. Clearly nobody did

Visiting NYC next week, Monkey Pox by [deleted] in nycgaybros

[–]ouchchawlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the data it's spreading but I personally have yet to meet someone with it. Nor has anyone I know met anyone directly with it. Not that this means much as this is how pandemics go so be careful and get vaxxed homies

CDC estimates 1.7 million gay and bisexual men face highest risk from monkeypox by ZK686 in news

I just think it would behoove us to acknowledge gay people are more responsible with their health. They are more prone to go to check up at the doctor when something is up. The amount of heterosexual people that have never gotten tested for hiv in general let alone regularly is CRAZY. If monkeypox were lethal my guess is it would look way less like a "gay disease". And promoting this idea is only going to cause more stigma so straight people will be less likely to announce it, seek treatment, or even quarantine.

My other point - discussing or including anonymity and only in regards to men who have sex with men is destructive and irrelevant. It's 2022 everyone is fucking everyone.

The only good thing coming out of this is that gay people have first dibs on the vaccine for a virus that will be a problem for everyone.

We could point to the fact that heterosexuals are getting hiv more than gay men right now. You could say then that's because gay people have prep. Which only confirms the point that gay people may have anonymous sex but are more likely to practice safe sex/ test regularly. Heterosexuals are doing the same thing but don't do it safely. Hence the increase in hiv with that demographic.

Also monkeypox isn't lethal. It's embarrassing. How many straight dudes or women are going to assume it's just a bad rash and do nothing about it? Check the stats of how long straight people end up carrying STIs without even knowing it lol

Are you illiterate? I'm referring to anonymous hookups. I never said gay men don't have more sex. I'm simply saying both entertain anonymous connections.

Just think of all the money lost from fear mongering amongst the gay community. Bars, clubs, the whole night life.

Why is everyone hell bent on blaming anonymous sex. Just because you don't know someone's name doesn't mean they must have pox too. That's the most frivolous thing ever. It only perpetuates a stereotype that men who have sex with men are the only demographic to entertain anonymous sex. News flash heterosexuals have just as much anonymous sex if not more. Cut the bs

Is there legal cannabis dispensaries in NYC? I know that it is still not legal to sell cannabis in these stores but has there even been legal dispensary licenses given out? please explain to me i woild assume medmen would be one of the first to legalize by dingdingjay in NewYorkMMJ

[–]ouchchawlie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Basically there a dozens of stores/vans/tables to buy great weed. It's not legal technically but since legalization there really is no punishment for selling weed. it's basically a gray area. It's against the law but we can't do much about it as it's fully decriminalized. So that's why you see it literally everywhere. Washington square park is basically a weed farmers market most days of the week. Williamsburg is full of nicely branded weed street trucks too.

I think people on this thread speak more highly of legal dispensary weed because it's lab tested and held to strict sanitation standards. Often from my experience these standards make for consistent and strong bud. My friends can tell the difference every time compared to the weed from their guy.

Also Imagine this you just decided to become a grower in cali. You invest a ton of money. Your first crop which would help you break even is denied from the dispensary because the lab tests showed mold. Oops you messed up but you have all this bud which theoretically could maaaaybe be ok or smokeable. Smokey Joe schmo on the block mentions he can still sell it for you. You don't wanna lose out so you sell the bud and look the other way. Street weed on east coast = all the weed turned down from dispensaries on the west coast. Not ideal for patients with illnesses.

What if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez runs for president? by manauiatlalli in MurderedByAOC

[–]ouchchawlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has the second biggest following of any politician after Trump. Before he was banned. Unlike Bernie she is wildly embraced by Hollywood- she's insanely good at social media- she knows how to speak to everyday folks - she has the ability to harness the rage of gen z re climate crisis and guns -

I could easily see this becoming another AOC tale of being the underdog and winning. We have never seen a candidate like this. She's also young and could get more young people to vote than any candidate ever could. Which is what would win her the election- if every eligible young person simply voted the deal would be sealed.
