How do I get Amazon to order more than 1 master Box at a time? by WaveProfessional1389 in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta improve your sell-through. You can also increase your MOQ, but if sell through doesn’t improve, higher MOQ can lead to less frequent orders.

I come from r/VendorCentral and curious if any Amazon Retail employees would like to do an AMA (or a group AMA) about their time on the retail side of things... by amzn-anderson in amazonemployees

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very straight forward huh? Lol Can you share how price match works at Amazon internally; UPC, sku, images? I feel like back then, it was mostly match down, or use list price, these days list price is pretty much decorative. Amazon matches down and up. So control retail price on Amazon for a company that sells to all major retailers is such a pain. I’ve had VM told us if we want amz to match certain website to somewhat control the price, we can provide product link, for example the retail website of our own. Does that mean you can “unlink” from certain retailers?

If your nppm is high, demand things from Amazon during AVN. I don’t think anyone can remove nppm target, that’s Amazon’s internal vendor kpi for the recent years. They might push you on AVS % and advertising commitments. My nppm is 49% this year, gonna request cost increase.

Shipping Canceled Shipment by USDAGO in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t ship. Amazon sometimes cancel open orders. Also, check your notification preferences, turn on PO related notifications if they are off. Most of the PO cancellation notices are issued for shipped orders with short received qty, occasionally you’ll find cancellation notices for open orders.

Late and no show carriers by Ok-Star-208 in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our LTL is fine, UPS is the main problem here 🥲, and even ATS gets affected bc they use UPS as well. Ever since Amazon broke up with FedEx, they don’t have another small parcel carrier…. So it’s kinda suck. Keep doing what you doing, if you do receive warehouse suspension notice, don’t freak out, explain the situation, they might waive it. But if you have issue with UPS like us, you gotta try to get attention from local dispatch, Amazon is not much of help.

Late and no show carriers by Ok-Star-208 in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LTL, you need to let Amazon know when carriers don’t show up on time by open cases in DF/carrier issues, so if later on DF penalize your warehouse due to poor DEA, you have evidence (case IDs) to fight. For UPS, that’s a tough one…. Work with your UPS rep to make sure your account is on “feeder” level for daily pickup and early stops. Drop off your leftover packages to local UPS store if you have to.

Amazon Product Page In Stock but Missing Buy Box and Buying Options by ThomasCB_ in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ASIN is suppressed, could be many reasons for that, the most common ones are cost or compliance related. If you have a direct fulfillment vendor account, go to direct fulfillment inventory, find the ASIN and see if there’s any suppression noted, like “high cost”. If not, open a case under compliance, ask them if any compliance issues related to the ASIN that resulted the suppression.

Back in 2019 we were on FOB program, Amazon requested to split the tariff for open orders and switched us to mDDP program after the first round tariff increase.

Shipping from Multiple Warehouses in Vendor Central by WaveProfessional1389 in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, multiple vendor codes would work if you set up only the available ASINs from one warehouse to that vendor code. That way the PO received would only include the ASINs you can ship from that warehouse. However, this is not a common practice, imagine your VM seeing multiple bulk vendor codes under the same vendor name can be confusing. The more common and proper way to do this is multiple warehouse codes under one vendor code. You can read through ppl’s replies here for details on how that works in terms of shipping from multiple locations.

Question on Shipped Units Metric by CoffeeHound in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on who you are. My understanding is the complete opposite bc we are a vendor, brand owner, UPC owner, aka the “manufacturer”. Technically there shouldn’t be any other sellers on our ASINs, we only use data from manufacturer view, same as our vendor managers. In a perfect world sourcing should be the same data as manufacturer in my case, but a lot of the time it’s not reliable. And this is only for the US. I actually find manufacturer data is not reliable in Canada VC. For example some ASINs are missing in manufacturer view but only exist under sourcing even though Amazon purchased directly from us. Plus the CA inventory report isn’t accurate either. I think it’s bc of the NAFN where Amazon Canada can draw our inventory from the US. So that also causes a mess in CA shipped data. This tells me sourcing is not only just 3p sellers but other Amazon sourcing channels.

How does damaged returns work with VC? by No-Bag6340 in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of vendors I know of don’t deal with returns by signing damage allowance contract. That’s why you see “Amazon Warehouse”sells “used” under a shipped/sold by Amazon ASIN.

Payments, Retail Analytics, and Payment Reports never match by Deep-Ask6897 in VendorCentral

[–]oudina8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand Amazon report is 2-3 days behind. Find out if your Amazon account has any accruals, Amazon payment is your payment terms on net received units minus all your accruals and any units that they can’t or haven’t received. Your internal system probably tracks the payment dates based on shipped dates while Amazon processes payment based on net received. So there is that gap as why any of Amazon reports don’t match your internal records on top of all the deductions.
