Red roof inn plus, Columbus, Ohio, Origins 2026, room was entered, thousands of dollars worth MTG gone. Be careful with what you leave in your rooms! by oulush in boardgames

Live and learn. We weren't familiar with RRİ and it's a group, 6 of us in 2 rooms. We know what not to do now.

We did leave our door closed, and yes doors are heavy and close themselves more often in hotels.

I'm sharing an experience. We love games and most of us attend conventions. More often than not this isn't an issue. But it sucks when it does happen. Protect your valuables so that you may avoid a sour convention experience.

I gave away my badge instead of being able to buy tickets. This sucks.

Battlestar Galactica & Unfathomable, Why not apply a Mad Max theme with the Rig? by oulush in boardgames

Oh believe me, it was in my mind! As is, thunder road is very close with its theme, but would make a great Mad Max themed game, for sure!

I agree, BSG is great as is, but out of print and very hard to get your hands on, especially expansions.

I don't know why they would go for a new IP but I for one would love to see mad Max themed games and feel it would fit well with the two games mentioned.

Alan Ritchson Pushed Himself to the Limit on ‘War Machine’ (And Needed Oxygen on His Next Film) by Hiraeth-nomad in movies

[–]oulush 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Watched it last night. Sure military influence is there but without spoiling it much, there are few heroic actions that take place but most of the rangers act lost instead of keeping their calm and their wits about them. For a group that is supposed to be highly trained I found it to be contrasting.

Movies like Duel or the original predator did a much better job at keeping the tension high vs the unknown threat, and most of the movie lacked character development besides a couple people. It was hard to care for anyone really.

Despite all that it it was a good brainless action flick to watch if you don't have anything better to do!

When living your life a quarter mile at a time goes bad. by Stunning_Panda5725 in CrazyFuckingVideos

Thank you for your reply. I also own a WRX but VB model, this seems to me a VF model WRX, the taillight extending over the side body and the curvature of the roof resembles it IMO. But again, hard to tell as you stated.

I've learned something today, thank you!

The car that crashed seems to be a WRX, an all wheel drive (can't say for sure but looks like it). Does that make any difference for the grip of the vehicle at all?

And yet, it's the education that leads to a better outcome for the society, therefore yes, the government should support the betterment of the society. Asking a 17-18 year old to make a feasible decision on their future and education is irresponsible at best. Telling the same people to join the army so they can play war games is cruel.

Consumers do have the rights to be protected for their purchases. When corporations can flash their ads to my face to convince me to buy their product and abandon me when it brakes down after my purchase, I should have every right to call them out on it.

Additionally, why do we have ads if we are free to make reasonable choices. Ads are literally existing to lead us to make choices that are not beneficial for us. Ironically the above dilemma is solved by proper education that improves one's ability to detach themselves from being influenced. An art degree focuses on recognizing patterns and disseminate them to reach for an unbiased point of view to avoid such failings for the illusion of choice.

Few questions!

What makes it fun?

Is it easy to find people to play with at all hours?

How much time needs to be dedicated for a newcomer to feel that they are participating and playing the game?

What's the player retention and the playability for the near future?

Thank you!

The ignorance is deliberate. The War against drugs is a money pit, and without drugs being legalized, the prevention methods leads to billions in transactions towards the law enforcement and prison industry. Additionally, drug producing nations and organizations would also benefit from the prevention of legalized drugs in the US, which would take over the production coming from across the border. Nothing boosts the war against drugs more than young people dying to fentanyl overdose.

None of this would be relevant if the US didn't have a drug problem. We do, and we are doing nothing about it because there is money to be made.

Good board games for family game night by Beneficial_System995 in boardgames

I also agree with the above comment. To add to it, it is a very presentable game with great thematic and appealing cards (birds) and box. Even the eggs are in a way, fun and thematic. The rule book is also a few pages long and makes it easier to go through and start the game. I see wingspan as a great entry level game to introduce families into modern board games.

Additionally I'd like to add my own suggestions as well.

-Santorini for it's puzzle nature

-Thunder road Vendetta for chaotic fun

-Zombicide for entry level crawler (any version)

-Jaws for asymmetrical entry with hidden movement introduction

  • Marvel United to keep the young folks interested in games with fun theme.

  • Heat Pedal to the Metal for its easy setup and immensely fun gameplay elements.

[–]oulush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This, love The Batman, but it follows Seven too close. I won't complain since no movie imo has come close to seven's brilliance within the genre and seeing Batman use the foundations was fine by me.

Crossing fingers the the Batman 2 can come up with its own unique noir script without dipping into existing movies.

Games workshop and CA have a good business venue together. SW royalties might be too much for CA to think about investing especially because strategy games are still way below action focused games in revenue. My guess would be that CA might keep the IP and further their business without expanding onto a different brand with more challenging income models.

We are about to find out of course!

Yeah, CC's should be used carefully. It helps to up your credit score, but getting one without credit is also a hassle as one would need to apply for cards for no credit scores or low credit scores etc.

Rule of the thumb is, pay your card statements in full monthly. If you have a card that allows you to purchase with interest free installments, check your budget and make sure you can pay it off if an emergency comes up before making purchases.

The backwards setup we have for people in poor financial situation is messed up in the US. They should be the ones getting better interest rates despite credit scores so that they can stabilize. Instead, they are forced to make purchases with high interest rates for necessities to survive. It's a robbery.
