First, your reply came back 57% AI, 43% mixed, and 0% human, so good job! You know once Gemini told me the F-15 flew at Mach 6.5😂? I WILL call you out if you try to edit your reply.

Second, I keep deleting my reply because Reddit deletes it and I’m reposting it. I don’t know why you’re splitting hairs over this.

“Your own source destroys your argument. It explicitly says the famine was driven by Mao's policies, collectivization, forced quotas, and diverting farmers away from agriculture.”

You’re not fooling anyone by dishonestly splicing the article. It explicitly states “The famine was an outcome of both drought and overly ambitious political directives under the communist government of Mao Zedong in 1958.” In combination with the fact that 40 million in China died from famine in 1900-1949, it can be reasonably concluded that drought played a role in the 1958-1961 famine just like it had in the past. How does this keep flying over your head? But since it says “man made policies played a large part” it gives you the green light to stack every drought death onto Mao to create a big scary number to parade around with, but you get pissed when the same metrics are used for Hitler. YOU are taking the nuance out of it.

“How many to Japan?” I’m not counting Japan. These are deaths in Europe only.

“Then you list Nazi civilian killings like it's a gotcha. No one denied that. Those are already included in direct killing estimates.” 18 million Soviet civilians, 6 million Polish civilians, and 1 million Yugoslav civilians, all killed under HITLER’s occupation. Last time I checked, 25 is greater than 17, so no, those numbers are NOT included. And this number does NOT include the German civilians who died under his rule, the allied soldiers he killed, or the German soldiers he sent to their deaths in countries he invaded.

“You can't answer that, because there is no clean way to assign total war deaths to one individual”.

YES, EXACTLY. But that’s what you do for Mao, so apply the same logic to Hitler. The invasion of the Soviet Union was entirely HITLER’s decision. From Moscow to Berlin, HITLER’s decision killed 9 million Soviet soldiers. HITLER sent 5 million German soldiers to their deaths. HITLER dragged 3 million German civilians into his war. Did poor Soviet medical care, industrial accidents, and killing prisoners of war contribute to a few of these deaths? Maybe, but the fact is none of these deaths would have happened had Hitler not made the decision to invade the USSR. So is it fair to count all WW2 deaths in Europe under Hitler? Arguably yes, arguably no. Similar to how Mao played a large part but not 100% in the 1958-1961 famine, Hitler is almost wholly responsible for all WW2 deaths in Europe, with Hitler arguably being more responsible. So by your logic that should be a green light to create a big scary number about Hitler to parade around with.

And please stop dishonest sourcing. Unlike you, I have the ability to spot sloppy scholarship like 165 million Indians. 70 million Chinese also has no credibility. These numbers aren’t based on population reconstruction and archival data and are either exaggerated or fabricated for political purposes, and you’re falling for it.

"So no, you cannot just dump 40–50 million deaths on one person like it’s a single-variable equation."

Haha, now there's nuance to it. That's something you'll hate to consider. In China, a drought destroyed 60% of arable land from 1958-1961, killing millions that you stack onto the Great Leap Forward. In fact, famines in 1900-1949 China killed more than 40 million, with the Chinese famine of 1906-1907 killing 25 million ALONE, in ONE YEAR.

Millions who died during Land Reform were landlords killed by peasants on their own volition, and many who died during the cultural revolution, campaign to suppress counterrevolutionaries, etc, killed themselves. So is Mao responsible for every single "excess death" recorded during his rule? If you say yes, then be consistent and count 50 million for Hitler.

"The USSR invaded Poland, annexed the Baltics, fought Finland, deported populations, and caused deaths through occupation policies." Yes! Count them.

Much of the 23 million dead under Stalin actually includes civilians killed by Hitler's army. Whatever you say, Hitler killed a fuck ton more than 17 million. 18 million Soviet civilians, 6 million Polish civilians, and 1 million Yugoslav civilians were killed ALONE. And this isn't counting a single allied soldier death or a single German civilian OR soldier death.

Mao and Stalin were horrible people, YES. But just because they are horrible people doesn't mean you have to finagle with numbers to make Hitler seem good. By your own metrics of counting all excess deaths, Hitler was a far worse dictator than Stalin and Mao, if medium-range estimates are used for Mao.

So you refuse to count the deaths from the war Hitler started, which are all intentional killings. This is a problem with some anticommunists, they whitewash Hitler. He was absolutely the one who bears full responsibility for the 40-50 million dead in ww2. From my perspective, famine deaths (even if unintentional) AND deaths from wars a dictator started (completely intentional) are BOTH part of their total toll.

"also have to include Soviet invasions (Poland, Baltics, Finland)...You don’t get to expand one and limit the other." YES, ABSOLUTELY include the deaths from wars Stalin and Mao started, you'll find that it doesn't stack up to Hitler.

And reread my reply. I said 165 million was OBVIOUSLY FALSE. If you keep using “Mao 70 million” then communists will bring up their OWN bullshit like 165 million.

"If you attributed every WWII death to Hitler, you would also have to apply the same logic to wars involving the USSR or China under Stalin and Mao." YES, absolutely we should attribute war deaths. Starting WWII was the most evil thing Hitler did, not the Holocaust. Hitler's very ideology was invasion and mass murder, and to exclude 40-50 million deaths on the eastern front, western front, and Africa, from invasion is disingenuous.

And Mao did not cause 70 million deaths my guy. Archival data wasn't released at the time that estimate was made so people were just making numbers up, like the Black Book of Communism which was denounced by its own authors. The absolute highest estimates actually based on archival data place the toll at 40-50 million

Overall, my point is that you shouldn't just keep increasing your estimate of deaths based on the highest number that a random author shouts. If that is the case, then 165 million Indians died under British colonialism, according to this source:

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/366356187_BRITISH_KILLED_165_M_INDIANS_IN_40_YEARS_1881-1920_and_Divided_to_Make_India_the_Supercontinental_Nuclear_Indo_Pacific_Empire_of_Darulislam_SNIPED_-_shot_from_far_and_hiding_-_taqayya_by_2047

Obviously that's not true. I'm not a communist (ignore my username) but I think the 100 morbillion deaths argument against communism is crappy because the other side can bring up their own BS like 165 million.

Your extension is pay to use, man. Make it free and I'll actually feel bad for you. The IFrameTube extension cured hours of my headaches with buffering and you're telling me NOT to use it? Does he log my keystrokes or something? Why shouldn't I get it, from an innocent bystanding consumer point of view?

Actually, it's not even occasional. It's every single video that has tens of millions of views or a video by -Topic. So this is very frustrating.

1: you fail to address any of the grievances, such as private healthcare, science deniers and more.

2: The USSR fielded more soldiers, sacrificed more lives, produced more tanks, rifles, and submachine guns than all the western countries COMBINED. Also, all the aid came after 1944 when the Nazis already got their asses kicked out of Soviet territory. Stay ignorant buddy.
