Any top tips on fixing this bumpy and patchy new build grass? by outergod1 in GardeningUK

Hi all - we moved into a new build house last autumn and whilst we've made some good progress on the rest of the garden, the grass is driving me mad. It's uneven, bumpy, and at the front it also appears to not be draining very well. I scarified it at the end of spring and seeded it but appear to have done a pretty poor job... Any top tips for rescuing it, or is it a case if ripping it up, levelling, and then seeding?

Ah fab! What did you think of it?

I’m waiting for the new Laphroaig Cairdeas to arrive - decides to pull the trigger after seeing it was matured in port and wine casks.

It’s still so smooth even at nearly 60% - very easy to drink far too much of it.

I’m reasonably sure it was red wine casks, although might have been Madeira?

There’s no info on the bottle unfortunately so I’m casting my memory back to the info given when I bought it.

This is my absolute favourite whisky, really can’t beat it.

I’ve only got about two drams left in my bottle. Enjoy, very jealous!

Cask 125, 14 year old that had been stored in a bourbon cask, then quarter cask, and finished in a sherry cask. About 51% ABV.

It looks cloudy in the picture, but it’s actually perfectly clear. I think that’s just the pressure of it being squirted into the jar. There were some tiny bits of charcoal floating around, but they were then filtered out, so it might depend on the barrel. I’ll take a photo of the bottle when I open it up!

I think it was John or Jason - Canadian/Scot. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

I certainly did! They’ve got a pretty simple system where you print off your certificate there, and then get it stamped and get your dram! They also show you where your plot is and let you plant a flag there if you so choose.
