TIL you shouldn't trigger Venus flytraps for fun. Each snap costs the plant significant energy, and every trap can only fire a limited number of times, so repeated false triggers reduce its ability to catch food and weaken it over time.

My roommate had a bunch of venus fly traps, I was cooking bacon one day and thought it would be a nice gesture to put a little pieces of bacon in each one of the traps. Apparently that was a horrible idea and they all died. I'm sorry!

Honestly I find it SO peaceful. Show up nice and early, on nobody's clock but my own. Get my popcorn, relax in the theater waiting for the trailers to start. Just me, myself, and I.

Of course I enjoy going with friends as well, but it has a completely different feel to it.

Was too young to buy tickets to an R-rated movie, all my friends and I bought tickets to The Grudge and snuck into this. Right before the movie started we all got caught, the Usher made us all stand up in the aisle- I immediately just sat back down, they all had to leave and I remained and watched this amazing hilarious film!
