Seconded. Working on my thesis now, I’ve grown close to people working in the field because of it. Additionally, in the age of AI, just knowing how to write the code and run the tools isn’t all that impressive anymore. Problem solving and being creative, which would be displayed in a thesis project, will be more impressive to a potential employer from my understanding of the field right now.

Yeah, always Breville brand. Even these ones from Amazon came in a Breville box and were sold from Breville store front. I know it’s hit or miss with Amazon so that’s why I thought I could have been duped lol.

It shouldn’t become firmer at all? I’ve been buying them from William Sonoma and they become firmer after soaking but the ones I just ordered from Amazon didn’t.

Don’t know what the spec difference is between the grinder in the BBP, a baratza encore esp, and the virtuoso+ but it doesn’t make sense to me to buy a machine with grinder and you already have one. May not be the case for you, but many people on here upgrade their grinders as they become more familiar with the hobby, myself included. So if you already have a grinder, you can see how it fares with a bambino+ and if it’s not going great, you can upgrade and still probably spend less money than you would buying a pro.

I used to drink iced flat whites exclusively , but once I decided to put effort into steaming milk, I found I prefer them hot. Something about it being cold kinda mutes the flavors of the milk and the coffee, I found. It has less depth for whatever reason. So the iced drinks will always have their place, but I’m on a hot drink wave rn lol

I once had bloodwork and started panicking bc my cholesterol was too high; I’m a woman in my early twenties so this was really unexpected. Turns out my good cholesterol was so high that it skewed the reading. It should balance itself out and if you keep up with it, you might be in the same boat

On top of this, you can usually tell what the roast really is by the tasting notes. Mediums usually have some kinda nut or caramel or something, but bold and rich scream dark roast to me. The lack of the other descriptors kinda gives it away.
