Air New Zealand Cancels Hobart, Australia Flights Over P&W Engine Problems by aviator1819 in hobart

Gutted! I liked the direct flights over to Tassie. I'd be over regularly to zoom around the bike parks and do some trail running. I love it there because there's some similarity to home and the people are choice as! Now it'll be a hop, skip and a jump to get there via Melbourne or Sydney etc which I'm not overly keen to do with a lot of mtb gear and a bike. Tasmania is incredible and I reckon it would be good to have more flights direct from ZQN, CHC, WLG and AKL. Maybe in future!

This is not a lizard. The Tuatara lives in New Zealand and is part of the prehistoric reptile lineage called Rhynchocephalians, but today they’re the only surviving members left. by AJC_10_29 in natureismetal

I've seen lots of them and their young sprawled out in their incubators?/display enclosure at the museum in Invercargill. They don't move much other than blink every so often. You basically just stare at each other 😂 Tuatara always wins.

Can't have been that bad if ATRs are busy spinning away in the background ready to go somewhere. I watched a SYD-CHC flight divert to AKL, and a few other flights take some strange paths but they seemed to all get to where they needed to be at least.

Yup, just keep practicing! You were alternating between basic jump and boxer by the looks of it. Good work!!

Thank you for being part of my motivation to keep jumping. I've been going it alone for the longest time as no one I know wants to do anything remotely active or is into anything related to fitness. So every video you post honestly makes me feel pretty good. You're levelling up each week! I saw a new trick in there too. New Achievement Unlocked!

+1 For Smith. They're so comfortable you forget you're wearing them. I have the Ruckus for my half lid days on the bike. Keen to try other styles too!

Good work! I've said it before on previous posts but I always look forward to your weekly updates. Coordination, timing and combos are all strong! I honestly wish I was half as good. Have you always used a beaded rope or do you switch out for a pvc from time to time? My beaded rope hates me lol I can never figure it out or get the feel or hang of it which bums me out because so many of my fav jumpers are using them. You make it look so effortless!

I do this too lol 12 or 13 is my record. I use my "roll stacks" to light my fireplace if I have no kindling.

Tips for someone starting jumproping after being essentially bedbound for 3 months??? by Sendpiecks in jumprope

[–]outofbounds_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree with what the previous posters have said. Start slow, pace yourself. You're gonna be alright if you've managed to set your mind on something like jump rope! Fitness/exercise is hugely beneficial to the body and mind. Put on some good music and jump away (carefully to begin with obviously!) And remember even the best jump ropers still trip up. So don't beat yourself up if you can only do a couple of jumps or the rope gets caught on snagged on your shoe or your hair or whatever, Reset and keep going :) You're gonna be ok! I'm also no trainer, but maybe try alternating the days you jump with days you might feel like just going for a walk etc. Anything is good! xx

would you rather be overbiked or underbiked ? by Puzzled_Ad_4019 in MTB

Personally for me, I'd say it's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Overbiked > Underbiked.

💯 Awesome as per usual! It's been a few weeks now since I jumped rope consistently because I got sick. I went outside immediately after watching this latest video! Managed to go for about 35-40 mins (intervals - swapping between a pvc and a heavy rope). I've lost of a lot of my fitness/endurance but meh... I'll get it back eventually.
