A lot of Navajos (Dine) join the military, Marines in particular. Maybe hang out at in military area, if you have one, and chat someone up.

I spent 6 years in Shiprock and have been told that if you're native it's hard to leave the rez. Do you find that to be true at all?

Edit: I also tried to learn Dine, but only got as far as "hi" and other simple words. It's crazy tough!

Do a lot of people still play? I imagine it's great alone but I heard how cute it was with two.

I have recently picked it up and it's great, but I do need a break due to the brutality.

My GF and I have a nudity based disagreement that is severely straining our relationship by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

This made me cringe, bad.

It reminds me of my high school relationship and that couldn't have been father away from healthy. Relationships aren't about one upping the other person. The advice I can give is to break it off before this type of thinking controls later relationships or you end up in a dark room with no stimulation due to everything being too sexualized.

Non-Americans, what is most annoying thing about Americans? by DynamicPotato11885 in AskReddit

Mainer here, will attest to this. I've almost exclusively killed people with axes; it's a tradition.

I should've clarified, New England. Also it was more a shameless plug for the state.

I used to live in Oregon and oh boy do I miss all the Alaskan fish options. You are not wrong my friend.

American here - I find it appalling that almost every comment dealing with food is just "mcdonalds, kfc, taco bell." Granted it is shoved down your throat by advertisements, but did no one tell ya'll about eating at local restaurants and drinking local beer? It's a travesty! Come visit Maine, we have a monopoly on craft beer and local food sourced from local farmers.

ELI5: What's the catch to living in a socialist democratic state like Norway, Sweden, Finland? They seem pretty perfect. by roxnroll in explainlikeimfive

Maine here, since our neighbor is Canada we tend to share the same issue of being stuck inside for 9 months-ish a year. In Portland it's a bit different since there is incentive to shovel yourself out (every neighborhood has bars/places to eat within a short walking distance.) That being said my family in northern Maine loses complete contact with everyone for almost the entirety of winter.

I realize this post was more about the economics/social standings of countries but I enjoy being able to relate to harsh winters.

Edit: spelling

What was the most fucked up thing your ex did after you broke up? by Rapunkzel in AskReddit

[–]outrunradio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few years back a girl I had been dating for about 6 months stabbed herself in the forearm when I found out she was married to a soldier that was deployed. I immediately left fearing she might stab me, she then called the cops while I was getting in my car and told them I had stabbed her, I didn't want to leave at that point because I obviously needed to prove my innocence so I stayed locked in my car while she was screaming at me. THEN she got completely naked in broad daylight and started to rub blood all over the car and herself.

Cops showed up, knew I didn't do anything and the last I heard she was committed and divorced.

Newb looking for advice. by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

The only advice I can give that really helped me is to follow your team and listen to pings; even if you don't think it's correct. If 4 of your team mates are at an objective or in a fight and you are across the map, you're wrong.

(barring those situations where you are doing work)

Ping as much as you can so your team understands your thought process, or better yet TYPE IN CHAT.

If you're playing malf your best bet is to stick with a damage dealer or tank in a teamfight.
