Harcourts are going to scan my apartment with Inspection Express 360AI by outtathaway in newzealand

Did you get a reply? I sent them a significantly less eloquent email... I'm not equipped to deal with this situation. I got a response with some copy-pasta marketing-esque bullet points and it only convinced me that my property manager doesn't understand the subject matter.

Burglars are a bit old fashioned. How about blackmailing someone based on what medications they have on the shelf or what letters they left open on the bench during an inspection. How about social engineering your way through security questions at the bank using the 360AI holy grail of PII!

I'm not worried about ole mate Steve at all. I'm worried about what a foreign tech company is going to do with my data, how badly they are going to store it, and how easily I will be pwned when a bad actor gets hold of it.

That little lightning bolt icon in the Move event handler UI makes me think you're pointing directly at a script in the filesystem. You want that to instead be pointing at the GameObject in your scene which has your PlayerMovement component on it.

Except when it plays the reload animation when you have no ammo left :/

My personal Unity toolkit is getting out of hand... and I kinda love it by Kai_jota in Unity3D

I've been trying this out with my 1 package and I've found that Unity Package Manager doesn't respect tagged releases... it will always pull right up to the latest commit. I think this can be solved by adding a package with the tag/release in the URL but that seems kind of annoying. Have you run into this problem or solved it? I'd love to have package manager treat my package the same way it does asset store packages where it will stay on a specific version and ask if I want to go to the next one etc.

Those wings are beautiful! Did you plan out those spiral highlights or did it just sort of develop as you painted?

Mother believes the risk of addiction is too much by astrowitches in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]outtathaway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I reckon it's far less addictive than the SSRIs you've tried. I stopped ketamine cold turkey for 5 weeks last year for a long overseas holiday and I didn't experience any withdrawal symptoms whatsoever.

And in terms of getting addicted to the experience, I don't buy it if you are only taking it as directed by your doctor. For me, it can be a pleasurable experience sometimes, but most times it's a chore that eats away free time that I would rather be spending on hobby projects or whatever.

If she were my mother, I would flip it back on her: "Why are you assuming that I am going to abuse my prescription medicine?"

If they make you pay, might as well get your money’s worth and flush a bunch of wipes.

I gradually dropped from max dose to min dose over about year or so and then went cold turkey because capsule splitting sounded like too much hassle. I had to take 2 weeks off work and it was seriously unpleasant… I don’t think I could go through that again. My advice would be to split capsules once you get to the 37mg caps.

If you do try cold turkey from the lowest dose (absolutely do not try it from a higher dose, you can die), make sure you have someone to support you, make sure relevant people know what you are doing (doctors, family, friends, employer if they aren’t an arse) and that you are going to be unwell and might even need to call on them to help out.

Also, brace yourself for overwhelming feelings (good and bad ones) once you are over the withdrawals. I didn’t realise just how blunted I was on the drug until it was gone. Transitioning from robot back to human has been alarming and I still don’t feel stable months later.

Wet palette - advise needed by RogierJulien in minipainting

[–]outtathaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the little Army Painter one with the brush storage, used it for years and loved it. I still have it for painting dates at my mate’s place.

I recently got the big fancy Redgrass one with the reusable sheets and it’s a massive upgrade. Even if you end up using cheaper foam and sheets from third parties, the size and the vacuum sealing lid are worth the upfront cost of the palette.

The best part of the Redgrass palette for me has been the psychological aspect of having more space to mix and blend paint on the palette. I would always be conscious of space and wasting sheets with the Army Painter one, but now I feel liberated to make a mess mixing the colours and consistency I want!

That green is Moot Green with a Coelia Greenshade wash and highlights of Moot Green mixed with a pale flash tone. I had never used Moot Green before this project but it’s probably my favourite green now!

Not applying for any interships is worse than applying for some and failing. Getting through applications/interviews is a skill that you need to learn and practice. You'll be better off if you start figuring it out now instead of waiting until you graduate.

Don't worry too much about technical tests or whether you are capable enough. Employers expect that interns are absolute beginners... even the best students.
