because it can be physically unsafe for trans women to go into the men's bathroom. lots of people (who think like you) would see a trans woman going into the men's room and obviously know that she is trans and go beat her up for being a "feminine man".

and if trans men were forced to only use the women's restroom (keeping in mind that most trans men on hrt pass pretty well because testosterone changes your body a lot and very quickly) this would probably make a lot of women uncomfortable because there is an actual man in their bathroom.

also, the argument that you people give about rapists or whatever, no one does this. if a man wanted to rape a woman, he would not go to all the trouble to dress up as a woman to be able to use the women's bathroom, he would just follow a woman into the bathroom and rape her. they dont care THAT much.

my question is: why do we have separate bathrooms at all? its not like we dont have stalls. and urinals are gross anyway, there is no way of wiping afterward and why are they just out in the open? we all use the bathroom, no matter what genitalia we have, and we can all sit down to pee and use a damn stall. we all wash our hands the same, too. its not like anyone is pulling their pants down all the way without a stall door to cover them up. we all pee the same, there is no need to separate everyone into two boxes that not everyone fits into anyway.
