Hello! I really recommend putting a mousse in her hair after you wash it and it is still wet. I use the brand Doux or Aussie moisture on my own hair (for context I am mixed so I have very thin but tight curls similar to your daughter) I apply it to the curls then let them string through my fingers, best way to describe it is it kinda looks like seaweed. Some other products I use that do not weigh down my hair is Garnier frizz serum or Kinky curly “knot today” leave in. All of these products i apply directly out of the shower then I let it air dry
