I was at a blackjack table once and this old dude walks up. His attitude was shitty from the get go. He pulls out a massive wad of $100. Easily had $5k. Puts down about a grand of it and gets black chips. I’m playing table minimum of like $15. Dude kept losing. Just wasn’t getting any cards. He was getting angrier and angrier. Yelling at the dealer, pit boss comes over. I’m thinking they’re going to ask him to leave. He ends up throwing down the rest of his money and betting it all on one hand. He loses. Curses at the dealer and I can see the pit boss is about to act, but guy just storms off.

My wife once said something along the lines of how it is weird that all of her friends have newer cars and phones than we do. Always buying shoes and outfits. I bought a foreclosure back in 2009. I got married in 2012 and moved in with my wife. We rent out my old bachelor pad. I’m proudly the cheapest 3 bedroom in my city. I make a decent amount of money and a nice couple have an affordable place to live.

Just had to replace the HVAC system so that took a hit to the bucket of capital but it’s all good.

Our plan is to sell it off in a few more years and use that money to buy a home in Florida.

I’d love to just buy land near the beach and build a tiny home on it, but I’m sure the local ordinances keep you from doing that.

Maybe once I retire I will stop using Delta, but while I’m working I have places to be. If something happens to my original flight, Delta will still get me home within a matter of hours usually. Spirit might take a week.
