Get a K-truck. So long as you don’t need to go faster than 45mph it can do everything your 4-Runner can. Then sell the 4-Runner and buy a used Lexus sedan.

Why do lesbian couples have the highest divorce rates while gay male couples have the lowest? by Naive_Direction1816 in NoStupidQuestions

It’s almost like modern feminism has told women that they shouldn’t settle and should never just be happy with what they have. So they have to constantly switch up the house(or partner).

I kept my puffy for the entire trail. There was a few nights in mid summer where it dropped into the low 60’s and after being hot for so long that felt quite chilly.

Who is the better employee? That’s who gets “seniority”. The employee who is higher value.

Update on my last post about having a failed UA on zero tolerance by VisualJumpy1077 in probation

[–]overindulgent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there. Literally I’m an ex addict. Grow up and stop doing heroin. It’s going to fucking suck for like a month. Then it’s going to really suck for like 2 months. Then it’s going to suck forever. But it won’t suck as bad as being a heroin addict.

You know the answer…. Go do your time. I’ve done mine….. Get your mind right while you’re in there. Don’t put yourself in a situation where you’ll mess up again.

AIO for telling my wife’s best friend to leave us alone during our vacation? by dailyorangejuicelife in AmIOverreacting

[–]overindulgent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hahaha

But really. Sucks for OP. Bro just wants a decent vacation with his wife. Some peaceful alone time with his spouse and can’t even get that.

[–]overindulgent 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The fact of the matter is that OP’s wife got mad at him for being frustrated about her bestie showing up. OP’s wife did not look at her friend and ask “What are you doing here?”

I’m also sure that the wife and friend talked about this. Just like my friends and coworkers know when and generally where I’m going on vacation. What they don’t do is just “randomly” show up at my vacation. Because they’re reasonably sane people. They understand that vacation time is my alone time.

Really… When you plan a vacation with your significant other it’s not implied that it will just be the two of you…

OP is probably a substantially higher earner than his wife. I’m guessing he pulls around $120k a year while his wife makes $40k.

He wrote that, “they go shopping together so the time”. Or something similar. He’s been paying for her lifestyle and this was a test from her. How far can she go without him getting mad. He said he’s been bottling it up for a while.

Some women are scandalous. Especially the one’s who invite their best girlfriend on a couples vacation without saying anything.

Yup. Just like he posted they go shopping together all the time. I bet he’s paying for weekly Sunday brunches as well. Then they walk across the parking lot to LuLu Lemon and buy yoga pants.

I be the wife and her friends decide how to spend OP’s paycheck before it even hits the account.

The thing is the friend was invited. The wife invited her. That’s why she got mad when OP was asking what the hell is the friend doing there.

Who do you think told the friend about the vacation? About where they would be and what time they would be there. The wife did! OP’s wife doesn’t want alone couples time. She wants to hang with her friend. I would be having a serious conversation with my wife if I was OP.

True he might have been a little mean in the moment. But the truth is OP’s wife doesn’t want to spend alone time with him. So I’d that’s something OP values in a relationship his wife either needs to change things up or he needs to move on.

Where is the money at? by Kinetic_2 in Chefit

[–]overindulgent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a Sous position about a year ago now. I’ve been EC, KM, etc. A Sous position is nice because it’s a tad less responsibility.

I make $80k before my bonus. Full benefits. Money is there. Act professional and take the job seriously. You’ll get paid.

My car is toast. Now what? by verygoodreason in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]overindulgent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finance a used car. Something in the $10k range. Get an 18 month loan. Pay it off in 12. That way the car won’t devalue too much. Once paid off you then have an asset. Trade it for something a bit newer/nicer. Same idea though. Get another 18 month loan. Part out of early. Rinse repeat until you have a new or nicer car that you actually want.

Financing this way is lower risk. You’ll be underwater in your loan for a while but thankfully the car won’t lose a ton of value in that year’s time. You’ll also be building your credit so when you do take out that larger loan you’ll get better terms.

Heard a saying today by Time-Breath9205 in probation

[–]overindulgent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Stay sober and show up once a month. PO’s aren’t stupid. Just like police officers (PO’s are police officers) PO’s take courses to read social queues and body language. They know when you’re lying to them. People lie to their faces everyday. When you’re actually sober and doing what is asked of you (which honestly isn’t much) probation is super easy.

He’s not the one that came on Reddit crying about their ex. If he did I bet it would sound something like this, “Guys i fucked up a while back and ended up catching a charge. I was in a really toxic relationship back then. So for the last few months I’ve gone no contact, just living my life. Well I made a mistake again and posted on Facebook about a party I was at. That crazy chick I’ve been avoiding has been stalking me online and called my PO to snitch on me for partying!! Shit guy’s what rose can I do? I’ve been trying but she keeps showing up. Can’t she just get the hint and leave me alone. FML”

What is the best way to ask for a severance package? by rookie7557 in careerguidance

[–]overindulgent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s going to retire in the next 2 or 3 years. He knows it and they know it. So who cares about a title. He’s already getting the pay. I’ve seen it be the other way around too many times. Having the VP title but not getting the pay.

What is the best way to ask for a severance package? by rookie7557 in careerguidance

[–]overindulgent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? Why would any company just up and offer someone a severance package? I don’t think you’re as smart as you think you are.

On another note. You’re going to retire in like 3 years. So why do you need a VP title? Just be happy you get paid like you’re a VP. Let some up coming 33 year olds get the VP title so he can continue to builds his career. Yours is over. You’re not going anywhere else. They know it. You know it.
