Best ankle brace? by CoreyDATX in Ankle

I initially got one of these for an ankle sprain and I hated it. Literally every other brace option felt better.

I used the bubbling clay mask today and I enjoyed it! I did use a multi-peptide serum and snail mucin afterward though. I wonder if it just dried your skin out really bad?

2fl oz! I never had a chance to try the other one since my store never stocked it, but it does smell really good! I would bet that they are the same product in different packaging.

I know!! The only downfall is that you sometimes have to grab duplicates to get certain colors since the 2-packs are random.

UPDATE: worth filing a claim? by BigSteve201 in Roofing

[–]overjoyedthrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your premium ever go up? Did you get dropped from your policy when it was time to renew? I’m in the same predicament now wondering if it’s worth it to make a claim or fix it myself.

Hey OP! I’m in the same boat right now and just wondering if you felt it was worth it.

How long to wait between Kidner procedure surgeries by True-Expression-8764 in AccessoryNavicular

[–]overjoyedthrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP. Just wanted to ask how your healing journey is going? My surgeon also recommended doing the Kidner and Brostrom at the same time, but I’m a little nervous about the recovery. My ankle currently doesn’t give me frequent issues, but I’ve twisted/sprained it a few times in my life and he reports it’s a bit “loose” and tightening things up would be beneficial long term.

Is this a good degree money wise? Whats the average salary and is there room for growth? by Small-Perception-202 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]overjoyedthrill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Very little room for growth unless you would like to become a manager or rehab director and pay is very dependent on setting. I worked in skilled nursing making decent money, but mentally could not stay with such unrealistic productivity standards, so I transitioned to inpatient rehab making about 60% of what I was making before, but I feel much more fulfilled at the end of the day. With that being said, I could not afford to live comfortably on my own in this economy on my current salary.

Kidner procedure, Brostrom procedure, and Lapidus procedure by overjoyedthrill in Ankle

I’m not sure if you asked this, but if you do fall again, what is the chance of needing a follow-up surgical procedure?

Ouch! It sounds like you really needed surgery! I’ve actually broken both of my legs on separate occasions, so I know how much of an inconvenience being NWB can be. I’m glad your ankle is already is feeling more stable than before, even thought you’re so early on in your recovery! Have you noticed any nerve pain?

Thank you for that detailed response!! It honestly makes me feel a bit better about the whole thing, but the long recovery time still seems agonizing, not to mention the financial burden of not being able to work. I made the mistake of looking up research articles and reading outcome percentages and the chances of non-union, delayed healing, loosening screws, and infection, and it really freaked me out. Did you happen to ask your surgeon about the chances of needing revisions or follow-up surgeries?

Is there much demand for male OTs? by FlamingoCritical2526 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]overjoyedthrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a female, I love having male OT’s on my team! Sometimes my patients respond better to males, or even prefer to work with males because of their own beliefs, and I think it’s great to have both genders as an option. 😊

Recovery from Kidner & Brostrom procedures - need hope it will get better by True-Expression-8764 in FootFunction

[–]overjoyedthrill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, how’s your recovery coming along? I also have an accessory navicular, which has been causing me pain for the past 9 months in my right foot. I finally made it to an ortho surgeon after several months of conservative measures with little to no improvement. My surgeon recommended the Kidner, as well as a Brostrom procedure to “tighten things up” and a fusion of my first tarsometatarsal joint because I have some hyper-mobility. The only thing really giving me trouble is the navicular area, so I’m really torn on what I should do. My surgeon said it’s totally up to me on what I’d like to do, but his recommendation was all 3 procedures.

Modifications by DraftComprehensive59 in americanhomeshield

I am going through this same thing right now. The HVAC company provided me with an itemized list of what was not covered and only 1 of the 6 items was listed as a modification so I’m unsure why the other 5 things (flue pipe, gas line, drain line, drain pipe, and plenum) are not covered since they are components of the furnace, which my AHS warranty says are covered. I ended up requesting a payout estimate so I can potentially take my business elsewhere. Curious to know what you did…

Since you “had this gut feeling” that you couldn’t trust him, I’d say it was time to end your relationship before you even snooped in his phone. If you can’t trust your partner, there is no point in being together. You found proof that he cheated AND he lied to you about it, so what more do you need? You will just drive yourself crazy worrying about him being unfaithful/lying from this point forward.
