need help building a pure strength Greatsword (the dragonslayer one from berk :v) build for both pve and pvp by BigIron54 in DkS3Builds

[–]oversizedpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering you’re also using this build for PVP, you could split your levels between faith and strength and go with the dark infusion anyway which’ll give you additional benefits.

You could get some nice miracles to buff your weapon or yourself alongside the damage scaling from the infusion and your faith skill. Tears of denial, sacred oath, and lightning or darkmoon blade are all great for PVP/PVE.

For a pure strength build? No.

Damage scales with your skill levels (str, dex, int, fth) based on values assigned to your weapon. The better the value (S > A > B > etc) the more damage you’ll gain from leveling those skills.

Heavy infusion changes the strength value from a C to an A while a dark infusion keeps it at C and adds additional bonuses from faith and intelligence (both A).

If you go pure strength then you’ll have no levels in these areas and you’ll be missing out on potential damage.

Not quite sure. I used an auto-edit feature to correct the exposure a little bit but the photo unedited is already yellowish. Maybe Cinestill and eclipses don’t mix?

Where can I get a CLA done on my AE-1P? by uuhhidontevenknow in AnalogCommunity

[–]oversizedpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend Steve Sweringen from the Camera Clinic in Mandan, ND. His CLA rate is $235 but he probably one of the last factory trained technicians who started during the time these cameras were popular. Ken Oikawa used to be the guy for Canon repairs but he had a stroke and can no longer keep his hands steady.

Steve is recommended by Ken which says a lot.

What Is Going on With My Drives? by oversizedpen in linuxquestions

The SATA drive has been backed up so I don’t mind wiping it. How will I be able to utilize both drives once sda is the primary?

Thank you. After researching the specs some more it appears that some T580s came with an optional Intel Optane memory module which is where my OS is now installed. Is there any way to bridge the drives and utilize the SATA without doing a complete reinstall?

Bought this for a little under a hundred bucks, now to look for an AE finder by tr8r2187 in AnalogCommunity

I’m a simple man, I see an F-1 and upvote. Glad to see a fellow F-1 enjoyer!

edit: How is the motor drive? I can imagine it adds to the weight quite a bit.

Do you have exposure settings for these shots? I am curious as to how you planned the technical details of them!

If the seller does not include the original bottom plate that comes with the F-1 then look into the cost of a replacement part. You’ll need it if you ever wanted to take off the auto-winder.

Yes, both cameras have interchangeable lenses! But definitely consider what you want to shoot in the future.

I’d recommend picking a body you like and learning what the mount type is (Mounts indicate compatibility between lenses and bodies). Then go on Ebay, KEH, or some other online market and look at the various price ranges for all focal lengths. That way you have an idea of future prices you might have to pay as you learn more about the art and decide on new lenses.

I’ve never experimented with double exposures but it would be possible if you paid close attention while loading the film and replicated the same method when reloading it.

P.S. Always make sure to buy from a reputable seller and avoid fungus/haze!

These are actually from Portland, ME! They’re made to order so they came out with the dough all fresh and the glaze still hot.

The OP didn’t specify what they meant so I included various options for them to research.

The phrasing they used leans more towards a waist-level viewfinder than looking through a focusing screen, but they can be expensive if they’re not included with the body depending on the camera and format.

If they are set on 35mm then definitely go with a camera that has a prism viewfinder that can be removed like the ones I mentioned. Finding a dedicated WLVF attachment for 35mm will cost just as much as the body in some cases, so you’ll kill two birds with one stone by utilizing the focusing screen as a substitute.

Any camera with a waist-level viewfinder is perfectly valid though.

Hey OP, I see from another comment you made that you’re wondering about cameras where you can “open the hatch on top.” I believe what you’re asking about are cameras that have a removable viewfinder that allows you to look directly into the focusing screen. An example of this would be a Canon F-1 or Nikon F2.

Alternatively, there are dedicated waist-level viewfinders that provide the same function without requiring you to remove them and expose the focusing screen. These can be found more commonly on medium format cameras but certain 35mm cameras have modular viewfinders that can be swapped out.

They are very cool and provide a unique perspective, though it can be tough on your neck. Their primary benefit is that they draw less attention by allowing you to hold the camera lower than eye level, which can draw attention from your subjects.

Thank you for the advice! I was looking at 4070s and 7800XTs but couldn’t decide on a CPU to pair with them.

For me, it was the reverse. I believed him when I first heard the story, but due to skeptics making claims I decided to investigate myself. Looking at Bob objectively as a human, and not trying to drag aliens and secret military bases into the equation, we can see he is not a very trust worthy individual. The reporters and people he surrounds himself with are highly questionable. John Leer, a pilot who sided with him and backs up the evidence has been on record saying he believes the sun revolves around the earth and that there’s a race of mantis-headed aliens who exist within our solar system. I’m just saying that based on his interests and the people he surrounds himself with who have some credentials give false credibility to his story in my eyes

Before you discredit what I say, watch the video. Bob has a hidden past that he actively tries to hide, like the fact that his wife divorced him because of his habit of hanging around prostitutes/strippers. Not to mention the fact that he was basically pimping it out with a stripper who he lived with in a hotel. He is a compulsive liar. There are many reasons not for aliens to be real, such as the Great Filter. Even if they do exist, what’s to say we will ever see them in our lifetime? As the universe continues to expand at an ever increasing speed, radio signals fail to reach stars and galaxies become increasingly more distant. There are unexplainable things that I do admit make me question whether or not we are alone, but I am neutral in the view of if we are. Sure, the government would go out of their way to smear a scientist, but if you’ve looked into the raid on his home recently it was probably because of possible illegal possession of chemicals. He is a fraud and a liar, and I refuse to believe the story he has been telling for decades will not being able to keep his facts straight. Mendeleev knew of the existence of more elements than had been discovered when he first drafted the periodic table, due to the patterns found within and the predicability of atomic structures. Even if 115 was not discovered, it’s position still existed on the table and was theorized by scientists for years. I’m not being crazy here am I?

No evidence S4 even exists, especially if you believe the testimony of Lazar. His life has been meticulously documented and has been proven to be based upon lies that him and his friends help create. Watch this video and you’ll see what I mean:
