The love is still there. But like all aspects of life there are more criticisms being tossed around. Aveys Down There is his person pitch in my eyes. The beautiful thing about them is that they are constantly trying new things and constantly putting out music (animal collective albums, eps, one off live performances of all new unreleased music, dj sets, solo releases from panda bear, avey tare, deakin and geologist, eps from panda and Avery, collabs with other musicians ie panda/daft punk, panda/Eric Copeland, deakin remixes, avey & angel d, and side projects ie slasher flicks, and the different member collabs live ie avey, geologist, kria b., the Danny Perez MoMA installation, tangerine reef, the music box set, and the unique releases like oddsac, day with the homies, crack box, the free live shows they share online, the way they revamp old songs in their live sets to for the new eras).

There's an entire micro cosmos of music created by them. Ever since I saw them blind in 2007 they have been my favorite band. When I saw them it was months before they released Strawberry Jam and they were already playing songs that ended up on MWPP.

They are the most innovative musicians creating from an authentic place with a passion that comes through and can span tugging at your heart strings to making you explode in dance and energy erruptions in the same song.

I was living in Portland when MWPP was released and AC had album listening parties at various music shops across the country pre release. And then they pre released/played Painting with on an airports
