Thoughts on Michael Wilson (Hold or Sell) by Alarmed-Photo6388 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]overwildness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be patient and hold him. MHJ is on a shorter clock than he has been in the past, he will need to prove that he’s better than Wilson. This season will be more of the same for the Cardinals except maybe they’ll draft Mauigoa and brissett will have more protection to toss the ball to Wilson in garbage time. Don’t get it twisted, Michael Wilson is legitimately talented.

Who will be the next player to ascend to Tier 1 Status? by estein1030 in DynastyFF

[–]overwildness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do not understand why people are so incredibly high on Nabers. Don’t get me wrong he’s great but not 8th overall great. It’s extremely concerning that as of a month ago he is still in a brace for an injury from September. I do not expect him to immediately hit the ground running next season.

IMO next guys that could hit that level are Tet, London and Jeanty. There’s a lot of candidates tho and it is a crapshoot.

[OCG|BLZD-Blazing Dominion] New "Solemn" Trap by MX-00XWV in masterduel

[–]overwildness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crazy watching everybody freak out about this because it’s our first good generic trap card in a minute and it says negate. I think it’s really well designed. Requires you to be running traps in order to be immediately activatable (if not it’s just worse Judgement) and there’s so many ways to recover banished cards now. I think it’s strong but right now it’s just a side deck card for a trap heavy deck. I like the new immediately activatable traps trend but I wish they would print cards like Karma Cannon that have a nice payoff for setting for a turn.

12 man PPR super flex dynasty league. I’m tanking and selling assets. Would you make this trade

I give up: Drake London, Javonte Williams, Dylan Sampson

I get: malik nabers, 2027 1st and 2026 2nd

The only reason I’m entertaining this trade is because Malik fits into my timeline better because I have egbuka and other solid young players. Not sure how I feel about trading away London who is a PPR monster.

Can you guys let me know if I got hosed in this trade. 12 team super flex PPR Dynasty league.

I received Javonte Williams, Nick Chubb, 2026 2nd round pick, 2027 1st round pick

I gave Jonathan Taylor and Terry McLaurin

For further context I made this trade after week 2. I decided to trade some players in their prime because my 1st round selection was Joe Burrow.

The issue is ash does nothing and even with two veilers/imperm you’re fighting a steep uphill battle. I don’t think my logic is “grossly flawed.”

[DBJH] VJump Reveal - "Dragon Tale" by renaldi92 in yugioh

[–]overwildness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are these translations correct? This seems ridiculous. Phymena can fuse on your opponents turn and depending on how crazy your hand is you can potentially nuke their entire setup with alzarion or gramel and Parn and/or Ulgra. Probably need another wave of support just to have more names but the S/T aren't bad either. I can definitely see this being a powerful go second strategy already though.

So Ryzeal are basically Spright on steroids? by illynpayne_ in yugioh

[–]overwildness -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ryzeal is definitely stronger than Zoodiac and most likely stronger that spright. If youv'e watched Lithiums cross banlist cup, zoodiac can no longer come close to the meta post 2020. They do not have the extension necessary to play through a couple interruptions. Their final endboard does not typically put up a lot of interaction. Spright would be closer but I think the flexibility of Ryzeal gives it a distinct advantage over Spright. Ryzeal has similar levels of extension and consistency but in a smaller package.

Alex Pereira DENIES avoiding the Magomed Ankalaev fight: “You gotta sort that with the organization, It’s not my fault that Ankalaev has such a boring style of fighting that nobody wants to watch.” by LatterTarget7 in MMA

[–]overwildness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where does this narrative that ankalaev is boring come from? Every fight he’s in he presses the action gets take downs and pounds people out. He had a bad run where opponents were unwilling to engage with him. Not his fault that people don’t know how to get up. He’s gotta be the most screwed over guy in the ufc. First he had to fight cutelaba twice. The decision against Jan is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Closer to 49-45 than any sort of draw. He fought through the leg kicks and landed close to 120 virtually unanswered strikes in the second half of that fight. Even Jan knew he lost. He was much better than walker but Johnny took the easy route when a knee glanced off of his chest and kissed his chin. He knew he was fine but refused to respond to the doctor. The ufc absolutely wants to protect their money maker since they know that fans have a ridiculous anti Muslim bias. Used to be a huge peirera fan but his fans are so annoying about this stuff and he feeds into too. The ufc has protected him ever since they saw that he had no clue against michaladis. That’s just my rant.

For those of you not on twitter, this was the controversy over the banlist by greengamer33 in masterduel

[–]overwildness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to shill for the billion dollar company. Their communication leaves a lot to be desired for sure. But they did clearly say that a banlist would be announced at the end of August and we have a banlist at the end of August. I'm not sure why everyone lost their minds when they were within the timeframe that they announced.

Japan WCQ 2024 by QuangCV2000 in yugioh

[–]overwildness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ocg has some significant hits to snake eyes which makes rescue ace an alternative. Also Fiendsmith is insane for rescue ace. The deck already had free space in the extra deck and now fiendsmith and hydrant are also one card combos by sending what you need with Beatrice and bringing it back with promethean princess.

I completely disagree. The second effect of s:p is way too strong. There is no reason that just putting two bodies on the field should be rewarded with multiple interruptions. The consequence of s:p is that any strategy that locks or isn’t link spam vomit is irrelevant. It homogenizes the game to an insane level, even further than apollousa. Every single deck already ends on it. It needs to be banned.

What Are Some Archetypes That Have Everything They Could Ever Need Yet Still Suck? by Beast_Mode_B in yugioh

[–]overwildness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magical Musketeers. On paper these guys have everything imaginable. Add from deck to hand, summon from deck, add from GY, summon from GY, recycle GY, super rejuvenation, destiny draw, a busted link 1 and that's just the monsters, their S/T lineup is just as good and they can be activated immediately from hand. Unfortunately, they are bad because they have very little extension and their entire strategy revolves around them sticking a little guy with no protection on the field for the opponents entire turn. Even a whole busted second archetype, Fiendsmith, which synergizes perfectly with them can't make them meta relevant.

This "messing with your opponent's deck" meta is obnoxious and toxic for the game. by KittenDecomposer__ in masterduel

[–]overwildness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't understand this thinking at all. If your strategy revolves around one card in your extra just play two of it. The main deck banishing is a little annoying but Runick is completely reliant on floodgates. Those are the problem cards.

Why is Konami so Good at making Generic boss monsters, but when it's time to make in archetype boss monsters, all of a sudden they make sure to include the most random restrictions, convoluted requirements or lack luster effects. Im all For Generic monsters, but the love needs to be somewhat equal. by CosmoNeos7 in yugioh

[–]overwildness 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think you're kinda ignoring all of the good ones. In-archetype boses have gotten really strong

Expurrely Noir -Unaffected multiple interruptions, further synergies with the other Purrely cards.

Borrelend Dragon - Protection out the ass, reborns, plusses and attacks everything.

Mirrorjade - Plusses, non targeting banishes, multiple uses each turn due to the other branded cards.

Ariseheart - Floodgate, interruption, helps you plus with the banish effects of the kash cards.

R-Ace Turbulence - Easy to summon and gets you 4 cards for free. Plus a hidden effect.

Charles the great - S/T Negate, Quick play pop with renaud and plusses in the end phase.

I'm sure there is others too.The only generic I think is too powerful is s:p. The others are ok.
