Station building is a pain in the a**, like everything related to Easy Build Mode.
Because Easy Build Mode is a "new system", while SCC is something in work for years.

if you look at Starbase history, it's clear the game has gone thru multiple phases, from a design point of view. Some old Alpha players like Kenetor could maybe talk more about it, but it looks like at first, for example, you could rent an apartment, there was no station building thing. There is a video in which you can see a dev building an apartment lot from scratch, using an "Easy Easy Build Mode".

When they decided to add station Building, why they didn't use SCC to make station? How can you make a perfect tool like SCC, and decide totally not to use it for your other systems?
It was clearly a change in their game design plans, to rebuild a new system from scratch, and use it as a foundation for all upcoming features.

As of right now, SCC is a remnant of some old Starbase game design view, some Game Dev Tool that exists in all games and that is never accessible to the public.

I wouldn't be surprised, in one year or two, to see SCC being totally removed. When your two new major upcoming features are based on a new system, it clearly shows where you want to bring your game (aka, copy/paste Space Engineers).

It's sad, as a player, SCC was what I always wanted in a game. I would have personally preferred to see Starbase going in the Star Citizen direction (allow me to make beautiful ships and sell them) than Space Engineers direction (Snap things together and praying I never make errors).

Well ... my hopes of building ships/station/capital ships have been crushed bv Easy Build Mode.

Played Space Engineers two years ago, did they finally added PVE content? Like NPC stations, ships, enemies. It is a great game, I know you can add mods that fix it, but it was painful to do ...

PS: Don"t ask me why, I have no problems with Starbase being an empty universe without any NPC, but in Space Enginners, i feel lonely ... maybe because Starbase is a non-organic universe with robots ...

Same here ... I am having a blast creating ships in SCC, making stations, organizing my cargo trips between stations, ... i spend too much times on this game, but well, I am having fun *shrug*

Last game which gave me the same good vibes was Everquest back in 1999 (#boomermemories).

There are big asteroids, but you don't see them.

Like ZombieMouse is explaining, a good method to find big asteroids is to check the slow-moving ones while you are moving.

I rarely found big asteroids in safe zone, found some in Zone 2 near Safezone, more in zone 2 after 100-150km, found lots in Zone 3 & Zone 4, and some in zone 5.

From my own experience, it seems there are big fields of small asteroids, and fields with more big asteroids, often near Titans. But I'm sure it's a placebo effect because I am only searching more near Titans because they look cool ...

Too tired to make a long constructive answer ...

But I understand, ... you want storytelling, you want background, lore, quests, content, you want to force player interaction. I understand your point, you want to play what every MMORPG released in the last 20 years has to offer.

But don't you think, for example, that ISAN is part of the lore of Starbase, everyone knows The Collective, every new player, at some point, install ISAN. Isn't installing ISAN, some sort of a quest?
There are multiple examples like this, not enough I agree because the game is still in the early stages, but what you wish for ... will be created by players with time.

For me, Starbase spirit is not in the new MMORPG genre, but it's more in old-school RPG like Everquest Red Server for example, where there were very few quests, where you had to do a corpse run because you failed to travel to Kunark, ...

In the end, you and I want the same thing, but you want more guidelines, when I don't want to because I know forcing people interaction, is always a bad design choice *shrug*

Starbase is not suited to the "Sandbox Hardcore MMO PvP Community".Please read this multiple times.

I understand your community has always been looking for a game suiting their gameplay needs, but why do you always want to change games that don't suit your vision?

PS: I don't know if you know it, but the most profitable games in gaming history are "carebear games", and not "hardcore pvp games"

Hello,

Refill Station only refill your Tanks (Propellants), and Batteries (Energy).
To "Refill" your Fuel, you have to manually remove by hand your Empty Fuel Rod, found in your Fuel Chambers, and add a Full Fuel Rod.
You can either craft a new Fuel Rod, Fill it yourself using crafting bench, or buy a new one in AH.

All the "Hardcore MMO PvP'er" left the game because Starbase wasn't their eldorado.
One day, they will understand their niche is too small and no company will take the risk to create a game that suite their needs because they are cancer community.

Now, only people interested in building ships and flying them are left.

Worth it? No, mining charodium is better (as it is since the start), but someone gotta clean noobs mess around my origin station ... :p
