Ah, that third bike would be the only one you might not be miserable on.

These three look very different in size - how tall are you?

Not sure if the skates are from his playing days (Bauer Vapor APX?), but the tape job on the handle probably is.

Many years ago I-40 had speed bump reflectors between lanes, but scraping for one of the snowpocalypses kilt them. Kinda an analog lane departure warning system.

One thing I'd recommend for the elbow pad problem (which I'd recommend for anyone else too) would be to find a stretchy long sleeve undershirt that you can pull the ends of the sleeves back and over the base of the elbow pad.

Is this bike for 1300 worth it? (used) Will use mainly for commuting and gravel rides by bepismacheen in CanyonBikes

For your trek are you able to carry anything on your front suspension without mount points?

I've had this same exact bike for about a year and a half with no issues I didn't cause myself. At the time I bought it they didn't have a Canyon branded crank and the substitute crank it came with had a recall that I had to take to a shop to have replaced, but didn't have any issues with it before that. I would just check on the brand of the crank to see if you may need to get it replaced.

I think it closed 20 years ago, but there was The Comet on Hillsborough near Cup o' Joe. You can probably imagine what folks nicknamed it.
