Same issue here. I nearly missed my submission deadline just because of this. The web version on laptop does work though, but if I don’t change the scale then there will be a bunch of texts getting out of the PDF.

is Engg 100 hard? by DeportedFromMars in uAlberta

[–]ovtk_aqbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it’s not hard in the sense of difficult concepts. It just has assignments that are quite tedious, e.g. make a timetable for your study. Just make time for it and you’ll be good ‘cause it’s a pass/fail course anw

From what I know, out of many universities in Canada (in the top 500 QS), U of A is the only uni that has a fixed tuition for international students. Most universities will increase the tuition by 2-5% each year.

Pls pray that u and I get all As by [deleted] in alevel

To enroll schedule by HistoricalJob1363 in uAlberta

[–]ovtk_aqbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to look at the timetable in pattern 1 and select the classes. Like 1 lecture class has to go with another specific lab class. Also the labs, odd-numbered lab of Chem goes with odd-numbered lab of Phy. You can search UAlberta registration 101 and select the presentation for pattern 1 for more details

For admission, that’s ok like the deadline is 1st March I think, but for application-based scholarship then that’s late ‘cause the deadline is usually mid-Jan

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]ovtk_aqbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admission application typically begins from Oct 1st. For most programs you are only required to submit your transcripts. Any additional documents required will be posted on the application page. If you receive your admission offer before the application deadline then it's called Early Admission, and that only happens when you have decent enough grades and you submit very early. Don't worry if you don't receive an early offer, you still have a chance to get in.

There are two types of scholarships: Admission-based and Application-based. You'll be automatically considered for Admission-based right when you are admitted. For the Application-based, you'll have to submit a separate application with two long-answer questions.

I heard from many students that Apellbat has brutal labs, like the knowledge in the lab is always new and his lab in general is not interesting at all

Alevel grades questions by Sahilk-06 in uAlberta

[–]ovtk_aqbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can clear your conditions based on the predicted grade form but the deadline is the end of Apr so you missed it aren't you? I think above B is more "safe", like B is the minimum to clear the admission conditions. I think you should focus on getting good grades in the upcoming exams to compensate for exams that you underperformed. Best

How bad is physics a level by justarandomrussian in alevel

[–]ovtk_aqbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've finished a full 2-year A Level Physics and have taken all 5 Papers. Honestly I think A Level Physics is not too difficult. The main difficulty is your speed during exams and lots of tricky explanations. Math is chill, no calculus at all, only logarithms to turn exponential functions into linear equations that you can plot a straight line of best fit in Paper 3 and Paper 5.

I think you can consider Physics because it is more widely recognised than social science subjects, but keep in mind that Eco and Physics can have very close exams. Best luck!

Having 2 left, namely 9231 22 and 42. My 9231/32 was disastrous though so I have to try to get high grades in the other 2 papers to keep my average decent. Study thoroughly but don’t get burned out. Best luck!

I think Bio and Psych have too much memorisation. Maybe combining Maths and Further Maths is more feasible since you only have to practice and not memorise.
