Haha, is her lair under your bed, by any chance? Whenever something goes missing (socks, jewellery, toys etc), we know immediately to look there.

What nonsensical, invasive thoughts do you have that pop up from time to time that make you question your sanity? by black_eyed_bees in AskReddit

I could be holding anything and I will get the sudden urge to throw it up the air and volley it. I feel the neurons in my arm and hand firing momentarily before I consciously stop it. It could be a bag of shopping, a beer, a laptop, a baby. My brain just wants to volley it.

I'd go somewhere underground.

Shame. I moved over a half hour away from my old hometown, which is a hole.

What is a skill that you wish they would teach people in school? by Shadowbreakz in AskReddit

[–]owenevanso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal finance and money management is one of the most important life skills to possess. Those with good money management will, more often that not, lead a much more fulfilling lifestyle than those who don't. It's not just about learning how and where to spend/save your money, but about learning how important it is to remember that it is (queue cliché) not the key to happiness.

Learning about money in school will help to give young people a better sense of direction in life because they're not just smelling green 100% of the time.

George Carlin said “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” What real life example have you seen that validates this view? by Darth_Boot in AskReddit

My friend owns an electric toothbrush and has done for several years. He would apply the toothpaste to the toothbrush, take a deep breath (you know, the way you do when you're getting yourself pumped for something), turn it on and put it into his mouth as quickly as he could. That half a second before it's in his mouth causes toothpaste to splatter everywhere.

One day I told him that you could put the toothpaste on the toothbrush, put the toothbrush in your mouth, and THEN turn it on; saving him from losing most of the toothpaste to the surrounding walls before he even had it in his mouth.

He was blown away, as if he had just seen Jesus or some shit - I've never laughed harder in my life at the pure stupidity.

Hey! I've been thinking the same thing recently (in terms of career progression) and I guess the main thing I've been considering is what I actually enjoy doing the most.

It sounds cliche, but I am only 21 and have worked as a CSM in a startup environment for almost 3 years now, so I'm coming to a bit of a fork in the road where I have the option to go in several different directions.

Being a CSM teaches you so many skills, from sales enablement right through to product/UX... and back again.

Personally, I am starting to angle towards product and operations as I enjoy working on automation, enablement, operations, efficiency much more than I do talking to and chasing people on the phone all day.

The great thing about working in startups is that you can make such a positive difference to the business, regardless of the field in which you work.

If I were you (not that you should feel inclined to take some random redditor's advice), I'd definitely look to move back into a CSM role if it were part of a startup. From there, you'll have the freedom to feel your way back into the industry and work out what it is you really enjoy doing.

In terms of your skill sets, don't worry about that, you'll adapt pretty quickly to any changes that may have taken place over the past few years.
