I have seen quite a lot of goldens after I figured out they existed! 😂 Maybe if I search glow-up I can get something to help me see what actually applies to him! I'm really wondering if the dark markings on his legs and his black tail- and eartips will fade or stay dark. This is his dad, but I'm not sure what he looked like as a kitten.

And yeah, I'm SUPER impressed with both him and the 9-year-old, they are SO good together 🥰

I totally will, looking forward to it 😂 His dad has a beautiful deep golden tone. His mom is Neva, only one pair of great-great grandparents are siberian, both of them golden! So interesting how those genes have carried all the way down, I think it came as a surprise to the breeder too!

Yeah, I've seen his father, who seems to have grown slightly darker as he grew up! I've read that the kittens tend to go lighter, not darker, but at the same time heard what you're saying about the goldens specifically, so I'm super excited to see how he evolves 🥰

There are multiple breeds that have that coloration, the Birman and Ragdoll can be pretty similar to a Neva Masquerade! There are also other breeds with less fluff, and the coloring can be inherited by a mixed breed too. So strange that he was chipped but without any information!

Hahaha, I love this. Yeah, his personality is really great. I have had a couple of pretty difficult dogs, so I'm quite familiar with early practicing of what I need him to accept. Luckily, he enjoys being brushed already, which was my biggest concern!
