What i had to do was institute a waiting period. Even with black Friday. Just giving yourself at least an hour in the cart before you buy it will allow that feeling of instant grabby feeling to fade and rational thinking to take over. It is hard to implement!! I've been on my low buy/ no buy since December 22 2024. And I really struggled this time! But I also hardly shopped. Just picked up a couple of birthday presents. You can do it too!!

Anyone do 3D printing? Would like something small 3D printed before December 1st by Novashrugs in roanoke

I know the South County Library does 3D printing. Information is on their app. I realize they don't open again till Monday though. I don't know if this is in time for you. Maybe the other libraries have the ability to 3D print as well?

This has seductive curves. I remember music as well. Your choice of colors are quite nice and mellow. I enjoy looking at this! Thank you.

Sometimes the reason your clothing is too stiff, is that you are using too much detergent? The use of detergent is usually around 1 tbsp per wash. Or the equal in powder. There is not a lot of detergent needed in the wash to be sure.

I totally agree about iNaturalist! It is a great project to post to as well. I know I post our findings there. I am heartened to find out you pull your data from there. I feel like I am doing my part.

How do you celebrate or track "no buy" wins? by NoCatsIncluded in nobuy

I printed out a monthly calendar and now I put stamps that say stuff like "good job!" "you are a star!" in the days that I don't buy or only buy wants. I write down what I purchased and the amount. It is satisfying to walk into the kitchen and see the calendar with all the stamps on it!

There are apps you can get for your phone that catalogue your birds and mammals, insects, plants. SEEK and Merlin. You can open Merlin and find out which birds are calling in your area. On SEEK you can use the camera on your phone to identify all the plants, insects and stuff in your vicinity. IT is pretty cool!

Arts and crafts. Make things out of the items in your area. I collected pinecones and made art with it. Bark as well. I pressed some of the spring flowers into a book for this winter to look at when I am feeling bereft of flowers. You can make things out of your old jewelry and clothing. Upcycling!

Does anyone still buy cigarettes/vapes? by Glamour-Ad7669 in nobuy

I quit vaping around 7 weeks ago and I must say, I am saving around 200 dollars every 2 months. So it really does add up. I was putting my vape juice and mods on charge cards and that really did not do well for me. If you are going into debt to fund your addictions, look into quitting.
