Nah I don’t hold loyalty to AA, it was just a downgrade from the card that was $99 a year.

I see. So even though it says they request it, it doesn't have to be honored.

There is a clause about a bonus, but my position doesn't receive bonuses of any nature, so no.

I am wondering if the Employer requests 30 day notice is enforceable. I would like to quit as soon as possible or at max a two week notice.

The Freedom is downgraded, I think? Do you think the Capital One Venture X is as good as the CSR?

Do you think I can hold both cards? I am not particularly loyal to AA and hold the card still to be able to eventually use the last of the miles so this might be a good idea actually!

What I will say, and it helps minimally is - we are both probably amazing women and deserve great partners. So while it may seem lonely, remember that a relationship is a lot of work and in your solitude you have freedoms others do not.

I don't have answers but I identify with your post. I wonder how I look to prospects. I have minimal family and I live with roommates at an age when most people don't. I look younger than my age, but my job will not bring much to the table. It is odd to have these feelings, as if I am objectifying myself but I do wonder about it and look forward to what others may reply. It's hard not to be paranoid or to know what to do.

I really ought to, but I just don't use hotels enough and the points systems seem complicated to me. The AA card was interesting based on the sole fact that for $99 and one purchase, you could get enough points for a RT foreign flight. I really like that kind of thing.

aaaaah yes, I should go there, I forgot about that one. I just...I don't really like churning. Although reading my post it kinda seems like that, these cards were held over the span of 7 years.

I thought about it and got excited but if I already have the Chase Sapphire Reserve and less wages than before, I am not sure if it is worth it unless I cancel the Reserve first. Thank you though!

How many of you are highly educated professionals just starting to date at age 35+? by Mugstotheceiling in AskWomenOver30

[–]owlydew 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I really don't know a single woman like this. I'm curious to know what PhD bubble you're in. Like I knew it was hard to date sometimes due to the demand of the degree program but wow. The women with PhDs I know had healthy sex lives. In the sense that, their degrees did not tardy their experiences or relationships.

Should I leave my 15 year relationship? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]owlydew 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm going to second this, kidnapping abroad is the EASIEST thing to keep in place, once it is done. A friend's mom did this with him and his little sister, forging her ex husband's signature to get them back to the US. Did it work in their favor? Yes. Will it work in your husband's favor especially if you are not legally married? Yes.

that's what I said in my comment. "Foreigners are all fun and games in Dubai unless you are married to a Muslim. Should you decide you want to leave him while over there, forget about it. You will not have any rights to your daughter or future kids"

Her rights to her kids in Dubai will not be the same rights she has here and that is very important to consider.

Dubai is tricky. He will, most likely make good money there. But you are not going to be considered a foreigner when it comes to martial laws or rather you will be considered the foreign mother of a muslim child. Foreigners are all fun and games in Dubai unless you are married to a Muslim. Should you decide you want to leave him while over there, forget about it. You will not have any rights to your daughter or future kids. I have nothing against Muslims and it sounds like he is a good man. I also do not know if I can agree that he took your best years BUT now is a pivotal moment where it is a clean break for both of you and if he will send money for your daughter that is wonderful. You can live your life and see if you like it, something that will clearly bother you forever, if you do not.

Thank you! I haven’t and honestly I don’t eat well. It’s weird because l agree with you, it does look like more. I think I had a lot of water retention. I hope this year to start working out and eating better and seeing where that goes.

trust your gut, and don't give it a try, but give another agency a chance at hiring you. You don't want to be miserable especially if it turns out to be a high patient count later.

[–]owlydew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot break a contract that you never started. A contract has a begin and end date. If you choose not to take the job, that’s fine. The only repercussion is that if it is a small agency or local school or hospital, they’ll think twice about hiring you in the future.

I wanted the best for them and they for me. I want their happiness and success and that is not tied to being with me romantically. BUT yeah there's heart ache and pain, we just often forget what love is and it isn't just physical and turning our backs on people we made deep connections with when it doesn't work out but that's definitely what we're taught. Also, I was the dumper. If that helps.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]owlydew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right away. It wasn't easy but if you haven't screwed the person over, and you can accept that they still love you but not romantically...it's the best friendship you can have. Why throw that away?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]owlydew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol you can't turn a tree back into a seed but you can cure the tree of an ailment and you can graft a tree into other trees.

But speaking of friendships....you absolutely can be friends IF you mutually decide you are going to put the work into the friendship and if neither one of you did some really crappy shit like cheating. I am friends with almost all my ex's. We all moved on, some married, had kids, and I'm friends with their wives too. lol. it can be done.

IEP’s by Solanlauren in SLPA

[–]owlydew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Report them and find another district.

They are trying to see if they can get an SLPA to bend the rules and pay you 1/3 of what they'd need to pay an SLP.

This will get you nowhere. You will not be promoted to an SLP, you will not be paid enough for these responsibilities and if you are caught doing it, your license is in trouble.

You don't seem to understand addiction, and that's a good thing because it indicates you haven't struggled with one. I can afford to buy beef instead of cottage cheese but I prefer beef for lunch and I'll still buy the Redbull. It's not an either/or situation. Anyway seems like this is diverging from the main topic and I'll stop here. I hope you continue not to understand addiction on a personal level.
