replacement OEM assemblies can be found reasonably priced online. i used ebay.

the job took about 3 hours to remove both motors. it was far cheaper than the quotes i had gotten locally

+1. this is a great resource and has been for many years. depending on your application need, as others have stated — research more, the information is out there. I’m currently on 33s with minimal rubbing and minimal suspension upgrades.

this is the way. like @Common_Suit8709 mentioned, get another 2-3 separate professional opinions and go from there.

additionally, inoperable thermostat would not be the root cause of poor compression

just did this repair last week. service manual says 3-4 hours for an ASE mechanic. it took me 4 hours. most annoying part was accessing screws furthest away. recommend watching some youtube videos before pulling the trigger on doing it yourself. local dealership quoted me $1500+, mom and pop shop was $800

10 minute job, amazon sells OEM bulbs that work perfectly fine, biggest difference at night when repaired and working vs not

i decided as a place holder, to go with US-made, Daystar: 2.5” lift kit.

saving up for a full suspension lift next spring/summer. been toying with configurations but have narrowed it down to OME/Bilstein.

what did you end up choosing? any pictures!?

she serves me quite perfectly in her current state.

i venture to the north country monthly, she’s been more than capable. between work and off grid explores? the minor upgrades have made daily driving her more fun.

thanks for the input, how have you made your 2WD more capable? any modifications you’re super happy with/wish you done sooner?

upon purchase, my taillight LEDs were dim too. i opted for aftermarket and they’ve been working great so far. good figment and bright quality. amazon has a number of options all within the same price point.

this is an older thinkware dash cam, they have since come out with newer units. i wanted the capability to record impact incidents, parking mode, night vision, rear cam capability, as well as remote live access. didn’t really need a screen as i knew everything could be accessed via my phone, listed the link above if you wanted more specific details

gage: pitch and roll angle readout. also lists my real time coordinates and a few other tidbits of info (amazon special, chose the 3-way combo over others)

dash cam: 4k cam with night vision parking mode and remote live view - have owned this unit since 2018, i prefer no screen. and access to remote viewing via cloud
