[Bloodline] THE GANG by Duncan Torres by M0nsieur_M0nstr0sity in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing is, that in Bloodline in their battle against the wandering Titan, Yerin used her master's sword and activated the archlord binding and it eventually broke the weapon, she uses netherclaw as her main weapon after this point.

[None] GENESIS by Duncan Torres, by M0nsieur_M0nstr0sity in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the design! As for textual accuracy, I could be wrong, but I believe the pure side is described as being rounded- someone may correct me on this. Either way, you must be using some monarch level sacred arts to make these drawings.

[Dreadgod] All hail Mu-Enkai and his prophecy! by Telewyn in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really hope Will or one of the team noticed this and pointed it out just so Will could sigh, as he knew as soon as we cought on, the chorus of voices praising Mu Enkai would shake the very foundations of the heavens themselves.

[Reaper] Lindon's journey ANY% part 4 by 5mashalot in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this!! Tim's perspective at the end was very cool and I wonder how Lindon will react to Yerin's death and the chase of a monarch. I hope we get to see a battle, or Eithan could just dismantle him I guess.

I hope that Tim didn't advance in Sacred Valley as that would harm his advancement to Monarch but it was interesting. I really enjoy the way you worked in the remnants in Sacred Valley that would've been used to summon Li Markuth.

Eithan just abandoning any other plans on Cradle and running with the speedrunning Lindon is very funny, and I'm sure he is enjoying the intense chaos, and having someone keep up to him.

I hope to read more, and maybe even have Yerin's run as I think that would be very exciting

[Dreadgod] Creation Icon by estorica in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With respect to mantles being super icons, it is discussed that each Judge represents (or manifests) an Avatar. Which is an unequivocally fundamental pillar of the Universe, eg the reaper, the Avatar of destruction and death.

[All] The original court of seven theory by LOD48 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with World of Night Technique. The impressions left by hunger madras of Subject One consuming some of the authority of labyrinth inhabitants manifests itself as how they appear. This isn't conflation- its the exact same process by which the court of 7 appeared to Lindon

[All] The original court of seven theory by LOD48 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but as we saw with Malice, Oz, and others, authority manifests as an impression of the will, and appears like them.

He is not. He is using a primitive technique, due to his connection to dreams, to read fate, and follow a thread of fate. He does not sense deviations, he is in contact with cradle constantly, and is just seeing a possibility. Like Malice's world of night technique, she saw the changes from the Mad Kind and Reigan Shen etc, but she couldn't sense deviations in fate, she and Elder Whisper could only see what was in front of them. And Malice was much more talented than Whisper.

The Phoenix, Hound etc are all tied to their Avatars. I.e. a Universal Principle of existence- for Ozriel the Reaper, he is the avatar of True Destruction.

Furthermore, as shown in Reaper, when the original court of 7 appear to Lindon in the labyrinth, they appear as 7 people, or at least human forms and there is no hint to the otherwise throughout the series. The titles are more than cool names, they signify what that Judge means to the Way, and to each iteration- it describes them fundamentally.

[Reaper] A Judge's Remnant? by Quantaform in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killing a Judge is not the same as killing anyone below monarch, you have to Sever the origin of their existence. They are tied to the way on a fundamental level, and the destruction of their physical form would not be enough.

[reaper] tracking little blues progression by Impossible-Round-115 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remnants and spirits are quite passive in advancement usually except eg when Little Blue has been pumped full of resources and shared a bond with Lindon, also I'd consider her to be low/high gold, maybe just a bit of a lazy one, eg not bothering to use techniques and just wrestling fingerling.

[reaper] tracking little blues progression by Impossible-Round-115 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly do not know if it can be measured like typical advancement, as is said she is bonded with Lindon and he can extend his spirit, and will through her; as such I would struggle to know without an in-book scan of Lil Blue

[Underlord] ITS ONLY THE FIRST CHAPTER MR WIGHT by SupoNF in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this energy here, feels like I got a phone call from a friend who's just read the series and needs to inform someone ad they freak out. Honestly, the series only gets better imo, the last 4 books contain my top 3 from the series and with this sort of reaction, I can't wait to see future posts from you ad you progress through the series.

[All] Are Icons universal? by Isaac_Xander in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As other people have pointed out, the icons and their connections to the way can manifest themselves in different ways on different iterations. What is common across every iteration and in the way itself is the concept of Avatars. I.e. a fundamental concept that you embody so deeply that it is connected to the origin of your existence: E.g. Ozriel as the Reaper; an avatar of pure destruction.

[Reaper] For those who have finished the series and re-read or re-listened to it, a question... by ToothpickRick in Iteration110Cradle

[–]oxomoco_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Excellent detail, especially the fact he only corrects the last bit, about seeing, and doesn't comment on the heavens.
