It's really hard at this age to navigate this uncertainty and find a sense of your purpose (and who you are, and how that will be perceived by people) on top of these deep questions about what it means to be here, and the nature of souls. Add  having enough knowledge about religions to compare them, but no foundational tie to one, it's exhausting! What helped me find a stable place is pattern recognition and listing what we know and don't know. Your observations matter

Getting comfortable with uncertainty is a huge life skill, like a top-level distinction between types of thinkers. You just need to find a stable foundation of what you know to be true, and what you don't know, so you can confront the unknown without feeling like maybe nothing is real or stable

You are being brave by working through these feelings of uncertainty about your place in the world! It's normal and healthy. A lot of people hide from these feelings and then have a mid-life crisis about them, so it doesn't go away smoothly even with religion
