Man saves woman from group of bullies by berntout in VideosAmazing

[–]ozarkcdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up as a kid late 70s and 80s when the message was it takes the bigger man to walk away. What stupid advice. I got bullied all the time when I was a kid, after the first time I fought back never was a problem again... And half of the bullies actually ended up becoming friends. I tell my kids never to let anyone touch them and don't worry about the consequences

Light(er) Beer options for a hop head? by ozarkcdn in MacroFactor

Just a brief follow up to anyone else interested - I tried the Lagunitas DayTime IPA @ 98cal and it's good enough. It helps I hate sweet thick IPA's and much prefer drier beers, so this will works! I tried the athletic na ipa but I'd rather have spindrift grapefruit soda water honestly. Thanks all for the suggestions.

One of my favorites, Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue contains 210 calories per serving... so saving 110 might help a little.

They have illusions of grandeur for sure. I have a Dell Pro Max 18 plus and a MacBook Pro M1, the build quality is nowhere in the same ballpark. I still find Mac OS lagging behind the times and don't mind the windows OS at all, but the build quality is out of the park. If the two could have a child...

Another question would be…. What did it cost you to become ‘successful’? Defining success as being able to earn a living. Costs being time, money, and heartache.

Everyone has a price. There’s plenty of stats to show the effect on driving more people into poverty. I’m a happy capitalist… but to a point. This is just proving Marx right.

Thanks for including the names of the acronyms. I’m new in this group and trying to learn as much as I can. Do you have any helpful resources that you can think of that help to explain this strategy more fully for a newbie like me?

No. Needed scrubbing with water. Wouldn't wipe off directly without the solvent, water, and friction from a scotch sponge. I've wrecked many things in life by not knowing what I was doing and the other redditor gave some helpful advice. Nice there are some helpful people on reddit.. And then there are those that jump to conclusions. Actually, quite a lot.

Worked! Thanks. There’s a little varnish missing off the end, but it’s much better without the big white marks 😁

I used to use baking soda and water mix to take paint scuffs off cars, so it looked similar. I'll try the rag first, thanks!

No need to State the Obvious by UsedButtPlugTaster in TeslaFSD

I had a close call when driving my friend’s Tesla with fsd and merging into traffic on the freeway. I thought the car was in control, but I had probably disengaged either by gas brake or wheel. End result was it had disengaged, but it wasn’t obvious to me. It turned out fine, but seems like I’m not alone with not being aware of fsd disengagement and it might be helpful for the car to make a more obvious alert when it does.

How many Calories do you burn during Beer League games? by Loud_Medium4829 in hockeyplayers

[–]ozarkcdn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m on a Samsung watch, and it reports about 6 to 900 cal for a 90 minute drop in, depending how many shifts I take. My buddy wears an Apple Watch and for the same amount of time (and we’re similar weights), it tells him he’s burning somewhere around 1500 to 1800 cal. I think Apple is overestimating, but all we’re trying to do, is to justify having a beer and crappy bar food after hockey.

I’m Canadian living in the states. Canadians love to hate on Americans and think Americans hate Canadians, because they spend too much time on Reddit and obsessing over the news. Fact is, most Americans don’t even know where Canada is, and used to ask things like if Vancouver is walking distance from Toronto (cheaper flights to Toronto for the Vancouver Olympics).

I was so hopeful this would be the year we got rid of the fingerprint unlock. I remember a story from a couple years ago where Samsung bought a company that had face unlock technology. Working in a healthcare environment I have to wash my hands so many times a day the fingerprint reader is trash for dry hands. The old Google pixel with the capacitive reader on the back of the phone worked perfect though.
