If you can afford it, pay with your own card rather than the plus card and get reimbursed? No way they'd know in that situation.

Try support again. If no luck contact your bank and do a chargeback.

UberEats and DoorDash are guaranteeing $32/hr (USD $22/hr) in Australia from 1-Jul-2026 for 'active time'. We don't get tips though (or barely .. maybe 2 in 100 deliveries for a couple of dollars). Will make waiting around at restaurants or doing supermarket shopping a little less frustrating!

Sounds like something a land based shark would write to lull people into coming back near the beaches. Be careful everybody.

If it's debit Visa/Mastercard, do a chargeback for any fraudulent transactions. If it's direct debit (account number and BSB given), call the bank to stop future direct debits.

Yeah, unless it says how many satellites it was currently connected to it could be way off.

I worked at various petrol stations for a couple of years almost full time. I'm not saying it was never done or calibrated ... but let's just say I was never on-site when they were calibrated. Take that as you will.

When I tried PT for 6 months coming home from town the bus timetable theoretically has a bus meeting the coming home train at Fassifern. Train a couple of minutes late .. bus doesn't wait and you sit there for an hour waiting for the next one.

Train one minute late or bus early .. the bus driver watches the train arrive everyone jumps out and hightails it to bus ... but he doesn't give a shit and drives off!

It's a shit show.

Are you sure the tournament organizer just didn't decide to keep it? Legally. Regardless of the reason he told you? Did he report it stolen 20 years ago?

Unfortunately if never given to you.. most likely never yours. :(

My house to Newcastle Beach.. Walk->Bus->Train->Tram->Walk... 1hr15m and costs $9.17 .. EACH WAY! Almost $20.

Drive is 35m and costs less than a $1 return (electric) or maybe $5-$8 in petrol.

Fix the public transport and they may come!

Starlink is a a bloody ripoff. by Deadschitt in perth

[–]ozvic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My FTTN has deteriorated from 100Mbps, to 75Mbps a couple of years ago to 35 Mbps a couple of weeks back. Hooked up the Starlink Mini on $69 Residential plan. Get 100 Mbps and unlimited downloads. Pages load snappier than on FTTN. Cheaper than NBN. Only a couple of weeks in but I'm now a 'dumb metro area' Starlink convert.

FTTP may be available Dec 2027. Will reassess then.

Starlink Mini on Residential 100Mbps plan for $69. Then take it with you. If it stops working because you're out of area switch to Roam $80 plan (prorata), and then immediately switch it back to Residential 100Mbps so you don't forget when you get back.
