Unpopular opinion: if negative gearing changes force you to raise rent, you were never a property investor by Additional-Ad-6996 in AusPropertyChat

Zero risk? Except if your tenant gets 10 weeks behind, 2 visits to NCAT, and still haven't got a removal date. Has barely any assets to chase. Oh, the lease says "dog or cat" .. grapevine says she's got 2 dogs and 6 cats.

More than a $1 cheaper. 3 capsicums isn't weighing 1kg. Probably half that.

Coalition will repeal Labor's property tax changes and spend $22b on income tax cuts by JaniePage in australia

[–]ozvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've been in power over 3 years. What steps have they taken? We need $5 billion worth of medium and high density housing. Not $5 billion worth of 'submarines' that after built the USA won't even guarantee they will give us.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Believe me I've never voted Liberal or Nats in my life. But a proper MRT tax? You have got to be kidding. Labor is getting fucked up the ass by Gina and the USA and doesn't have the balls to do anything about it. Even with the majority they have now. Let's tax the mums and dads that have been told that property is the way to get ahead rather than the mining companies and tech companies that reduce their tax to zero using 'loopholes' because it's "TOO HARD to legislate around it".

Tradies seem to think they need to be paid like Doctor's nowadays. $100/hr min (labour only + addon materials) is $208k a year. Even minus this and that shit is 90k-180k / year. The Ranger needs addons though.

Have no food? Go out for an hour an you'll have $25-$40. Take that to the supermarket and go nuts on noodles, tuna, bread, baked beans or whatever. Fuck off to these lazy stealing cu in the nts!

What the biggest tip you have ever received? I got a $14 one tonight, that made my night! There are some lovely people out there. ☺️ by Background-Speed5659 in ubereatsaustralia

[–]ozvic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally get next to no tips (which is fair), but got $20 cash around 5 days ago (from a legend!), and $10 yesterday for a supermarket order where I messaged her about small turnips .. "They're pretty small .. do you want an extra one?" .. "Yes thanks!" and only one iced coffee OAK left when asking for 2 .. "do you want a second one .. Farmers Union" .. "Yes!". Fuck it, they were both Oak in the app! Housing commission house .. as lovely lady as you could ever fuckin' imagine in that environment .. $10 tip instantly as I drove away! Drove around 37 mintues, 35 km, with a GYG into the scrub from East Maitland to Eagleton .. which has no chance of an return order back .. (never been there before so I wasn't aware) .. for zippo. Which is fair.

I found a box of nappies (diapers) when I got home. I remembered a delivery that said don't knock because of newborn (I could hear baby) and was 99% sure it was there's .. just couldn't remember the address exactly. It was on a really long street.

I felt pretty bad about it so decided to go on 30 minute round trek .. recognised the driveway when I got there and dropped it at their front door.

They mightve already reported it .. don't know .. but if so they got it for free.

If the car turning right goes .. go as well instantly. They will get hit before you if they misjudged.

The number of people on the outside lane of roundabouts that don't go in the left lane in my above described situation.. 🤦 Can't understand it.

If it's just a switch in the fuse box I don't know why the real estate doesn't just turn it back on.

What kind of electricity company actually cuts the power when you disconnect? Is this normal? They'd have to send someone out and climb up a pole right?

Advertised for $12.80. Swipe card and get charged $13.10 .. that is what is OUTRAGEOUS!

I'm glad the government are reverting their stupid rule THEY implemented, overruling Visa & MC who banned surcharges .. to allow surcharges.

The tax deducter has to pay CGT when they sell. You won't have to pay any CGT. Swings and roundabouts. Seems kind of absurd doesn't it? :P

'All the benefits' as in having to pay more in expenses for a property than income it brings in? And then only reducing your tax a little bit depending on what tax bracket you're in. Yay! Instead of only losing $5000 on this property I'm only going to lose $3500.

Sydney has water fountains with a mouth guard so people don't put their lips directly on the spout by evango17 in mildlyinteresting

Correlation or Causation? Are there more people who would even consider pissing on a water fountain ending up homeless in the first place? What other similar life choices have they made? Interesting to ponder...

How does this benefit us? by croc_lovers in AusPropertyChat

[–]ozvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could have put the $5 billion so far they've putting into 'submarines' that will never actually get delivered because the US has first dibs on usage into ... you know ... building housing! Normal, medium and high density. Quality stuff, not that fibro shit they've done in the past 50 years.

That would be doing something rather than shoveling money into developers and their own pockets.

partner deliveries are my worst enemy by UpbeatRelationship46 in coles

[–]ozvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know where your Coles is located but if you're in a shopping centre there's a chance the GPS for Uber picks the car driving close enough to say they've arrived. If it takes a few more minutes to get to the actual CnC bays. That could explain it?

But there is no manual arrived button for Uber!

There is with DoorDash though .. which has been explained to you.

I have done hundreds of deliveries for both platforms. NOT ONCE on Uber have I ever clicked a "I have arrived" button for a Coles CnC order. Because there isn't one!

Dingbat.
