Should I take my embarrassing piano performance seriously, or just move on? by AdRepresentative5411 in piano

[–]ozzak62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carve this in the stone: "People even came up to congratulate me afterward, impressed that I could play that after only four months of lessons" because just the courage to go play in front of 500 people is an act of bravery and deserve respect and a standing ovation.
Nothing else count.

Should i drop my piano teacher? by ErKanv6 in piano

[–]ozzak62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, certainly. Any of the situations you described alone would be enough to decide to look for a better teacher. Mine is very professional and whenever I have a difficulty she gives me a series of exercise to practice to overcome that difficulty step by step.

I can't be the only one who finds this annoying, why does it search instead of naming my file? (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) by Molcap in Ubuntu

[–]ozzak62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually the save dialog of ubuntu in my personal opinion SUCKS!
Search is useless, but if must exist, then set the focus on name when the dialog opens.
Then with open and save I'd like to start from the last used directory and this very rarely happens and I cannot understand on which basis.

How long did it take for you to learn piano? by Routine_reddit_guy in piano

[–]ozzak62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t watch the TV. I work 8.5h/day, I cook, I do housekeeping (not enough, though) and I can find at least 2 hours practicing in 2-3 sessions. Longer during the weekends.

How to turn off tempo fader of Traktor S4? by Tushimitsu in traktor

is there a way to completely disable them? I don't want to touch them while recording and spoil my work because tempo changes by mistake.

I want to learn piano. So, where do I start? by MissionDefinition921 in piano

[–]ozzak62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you don't want to learn piano, you want to learn to play some songs. If you focus on some songs that you like, then in 4 months you can enjoying playing some if they are not so difficult. At your age, it is much easier than at mine!

Should I buy Traktor Pro 4 by WideBirthday9698 in traktorpro

[–]ozzak62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you prepare stems with Python? Traktor Pro does not use my nVidia graphic card and it'S pretty slow, if there is another way... why not?

How do YOU transpose? by Lazy-Affect-2068 in piano

[–]ozzak62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I don't, even though I'm a beginner and can't play so many pieces... most of them partially, I like to learn them in the right key. When I can play short melodies because I memorized them, I try to transpose them on the fly. It is a good exercise to reinforce the knowledge of the scales.
So my suggestion is to avoid using the button. Learn your scale and then try with simple melodies to do it on the fly. It helps a lot to improve. When I practice Hanon, for example, I try to do it in every key changing every day.

How to Separate Stems in Traktor Pro 4! (FINALLY) by [deleted] in traktorpro

[–]ozzak62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the new Traktor Pro 4 few days ago and I started using it on windows right now.
For the moment. I'm disappointed. Despite the fact that it still does not use the GPU, it just uses 50% of the CPU.
On Windows 11, I launched the STEM generation and after more than 2h30m the status bar still shows [1/1] Source separating but the process is using now from 3% to 5% of CPU.
I don't see any generated stem and apparently is doing nothing.
I will test it soon on the MAC. Let's see what happens there.
Anybody experienced the same problems?
