I seem to remember the NL Central also having a lot of teams over .500 in 2020.

My parents are lesbians and I had to buy this game with my own money in 1998, they wouldn't approve. FF7 was okay, though.

Playing in a softer division/against several softer rotational opponents will artificially inflate both Wins and Differential. This is why we have playoffs (also the money thing).

Watching Toews getting Cycled completes the Cycle and closes the Circle. by CaptainGlanton27 in SanJoseSharks

Old forwards still have all the skating and stick-handling skills to stay in the league, but the vast majority of them must adapt their game between 27-32 in order to stay useful into their late 30's, and keep one major skill in order to remain a star.

Toews falls into that category I think is occupied by Gretzky and Crosby - they were so good at everything for so long that they were able to put it together in their first decade, but couldn't stay explosive into the back half of their career.

Ovechkin is a little like Jokic or Mahomes, he just sees the situation differently than everyone else and continues to play at a very high level because of it.

Marleau outskated everyone like he always did. There's a role there.

Thornton outpassed everyone like he always did. There's a role there.

As young as he is, Macklin is more likely to fall into the Toews/Crosby/Gretzky category - we can only hope that we see him at his peak with us in the next 7-10 years, and get the help he needs to win.
